Our club likes the cards, see you at NOVA!
Would love to get a set of those cards. Wish CGL would make something like them.
I really like this! I hope you do make these available after the event. Seems like a good way to spice up games.
This is exactly what Battletech games need kind of like the missions and such in 40K. Hope these become available
Man these are great. Need to make them available outside of NOVA (for those of us fans too far away or unable to travel). Very cool TAP!
The look and feel might need to be changed a little so it's not too close to official Alpha Strike cards, but it might be a lark to put this up print on demand on DrivethruRPG
Oh wow! Really looking forward to these at the Tourney!
This is a pretty cool idea. Definitely interested in it someday.
This a great idea! Random event battle decks ! You could make one for each map, each battle like Tukiyad, etc.
These are awesome! Great idea and concept! I would buy a set, without question.
Interesting. Those look really good. I like the art.
Sounds like fun, I hope to make to a Nova one of these days!
Very cool ideas! Much more interesting games!
I think these are great! I like that you are adding scenarios to each game rather than just the plain death match. I also like that they are similar to scenarios in the BattleMech Manual and Total Warfare!
I’m totally open to more suggestions. I’d like to turn this into a 100 card deck with at least 33-40 unique cards so it’s super varied.
Those cards are be-u-tifull, reading other comments I too hope you eventually release them for us to use
"The Gambit" is great for a Mech already going down. Give that pilot a more "Epic" ending.
If character cards are being used you could add to your Battlefield Commission, "BANG! Your commander was sniped by Comstar. Promote another pilot"
In general, sounds awesome
Great Idea, I want a set!
There we go 🤘
A great game mechanic to add to the level of unknown that could happen on the battlefield, especially in the Battletech Universe. Hopefully they go over really well.
I’m excited to receive feedback and also get ideas for how to expand them.
Great video! Looking forward to more videos.
Awesome idea!
I'll add my voice to the chorus - would love to have these available for sale.
Love the cards!
These are great!
very interesting idea.... and perhaps "Nova Souvenirs"
Unfortunately only had enough printed to run the event, didn’t plan for extras to give out.
@@Thearmedpainter you should bounce ideas against your "team" including me, As you know people like limited edition stuff...$$$. i might have been able to front money for a couple decks...
Nice Great idea
I like it, can't wait to see it in action.
A thought for the Desert card. Instead of rolling dice, why not something like:
"Subtract 1 damage from all ranges and add 1 overheat value up to a maximum of 4"
For low damage units that could turn them into being useless :/ don’t wanna be that extreme.
@@Thearmedpainter That's fair. The thinking is that heat generally screws over mechs with bad heat dissipation worse than others. It's also more in control of the player, like how if you are bringing a laser boat to a hot mission you can still control how hot your mech gets.
Also as someone who tends to play a lot of units and play against others who do as well, rolling for every mech every turn could be burdensome.
I don't think there is a perfect solution, some mechs are going to get screwed over, which is part of the fun. And there are still plenty of uses for 0* damage units, not that you were going to be dishing out the pain with a 1/1/1 anyways.
In any case, it's your card set, I will be happy to play with it either way c:
If you dont plan to sell them in the near future, any plans to make the print files available? I do love these as an option
I imagine a repository could be made available once I finish the set out :)
these are a great idea. you should sell these
BRO! Where can I get these? Even a PDF???
How did you make such professional looking cards? Is it a capability that Death Ray Designs has? Did you use a 3rd party creator/manufacturer that offers the service, and if so can you link them and make another video on the creation process?
This isn't something we could do in house. I ended up having them printed here: www.makeplayingcards.com/
These are awesome, any chance they can be compatible with Total Warfare (Classic) as well?
You could probably try to adapt them but I don’t play classic enough to say one way or another
Easily adaptable to Classic/TW. Range bands would be identical, +5/-5 heat for the weather, 10 damage from artillery, etc. skill upgrades would be to both or maybe just one score (to prevent BV offset being too large... But largely ignoring BV since it's mutual gain for both players)
I love the cards, the only ones I think might get pushback would be the improving or reducing pilot skill for the whole match. Especially the ones were you reduce the skill of an opponent's mech. These cards alter the PV balance. Not by a lot, but it is measurable. I'm curious to see the player reaction.
Since the card revealed happens to BOTH players not just one it should balance out (reasonably) as I imagine most players will hit their opponents bet unit, but we’ll see :)
@@Thearmedpainter I missed that (listening in the background at work). That seems much better.
Where did you source the card printing?

What is Norther Assault?
It’s the event at NOVA open that I run for Battletech Alpha Strike :)
