Flying Scotsman, a famous LNER A3 British steam engine who is owned by the National Railway Museum in York. She once visited America in her early preservation years, before that she visited Australia where GWR Castle Class steamy, Pendennis Castle, was working in exile. Thankfully, both have returned to their UK homes. Pendennis Castle has at last seen the light of day, running on other preserved railways like the Severn Valley Railway. Her home is Didcot Railway Centre. Flying Scotsman has been returned to traffic on the main line. I'm so glad to see a British steam engine on your American railroad, and hope to see another appear. I do love LNER steam engines, alongside LMS ones, but I love God's Wonderful Railway best of all. Show me a GWR Manor hard at work, and I'll show you how much I truly love her. My bad cough kept my Mum awake every night, which I'm trying to get rid of, and I've got a cold on top, which isn't quite so bad. To cut a long story short? The most rotten Christmas I've ever had.

Very cool locomotive David and John! I've always loved the British steam locomotives, so I can understand David's fascination with them I have one piece of OO rolling stock that my daughter bought for me during one of her visits to England. Great find!😊

A BN guy that I follow from out west, Burr Stewart, @muchfunwithtrains does some dabbling with this European prototypes on his Washington state based BN layout. Fun to see these models come alive on an American HO layout!
That's a great looking loco and a brilliant find. By coincidence, the loco on our Dylington Christmas Special video is the Hornby Flying Scotsman 1969 USA tour model. Notice the cow catcher and bell on it, which apparently it had to have fitted for the USA tour ...cheers James 🙂👍
Awesome. Ive owned several versions of this famous engine. The first steam locomotive to reach 100mph. As a scotsman I can tel you that flying is not advised. At least not while wearing the kilt😁👍🇺🇲🏴
