I have such fond memories of the 60s. I played Marian's music so much as I was going through it at the time. Very moving such a beautiful, meaningful voice helped me through such difficult times. Thank you ❤❤ 🪷🍃🪷 ❤
Stunning! Her rendition of As Tears Go By has been one of my all-time favorite songs since it first came out. I can't believe this is my first time hearing this!
Beautiful. Marianne is an angel. Paul McCartney loved her voice so much that he tried to copy her voice and phrasing when he sang 'Here, There and Everywhere' for the album 'Revolver.'
“Yesterday,” is one of the most magnificent songs of all-time, a masterpiece written by Paul McCartney, one of the great musical geniuses of the 20th century, it's the most widely recorded song ever. This is only one exemple of at least 4,000 versions this fabulous classic; where are included by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Liberace, Tammy Wynette, Daffy Ducke, The Mamas and the Papas, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Placido Domingo and so on
Does anyone besides me remember that multiple superstars in that era (including Mick Jagger) were completely infatuated with Marianne, and more than one song was written about her, specifically, although her name was never mentioned. She stole a lot of hearts back then... and of course it didn't hurt that her voice was liltingly beautiful as well.
Marianne, I just talked with Tiffany a few weeks ago and told her she out fabbed the Fabs on I saw HIM Standing there I got a big hug! I close my eyes and listen to this angelic version and as I said to tiffany, this song was meant for a girl to sing to a boy I rest my case Rock ON!
I have always thought she was so beautiful back then . I have a movie on DVD of her "The Girl In Leather" , also known as "Girl On A Motorcycle" , riding throughout Europe on a Harley-Davidson Electraglide , psychedelic erotica film at its time . She was dating Mic Jagger at the time of filming I think .
OK. this is a case of "oldtimers" disease......I was a teen when this came out......I didn't pay attention 'cause I was all about the Rock n Roll.......as I age I appreciate artists then and now in a much different light......this was great ! I'm sure the "FAB 4" approved
I was conditioned to think that the Beatles were the first to sing all the songs in their albums. Many were sang by singers years before the Beatles did.
The BBC had the technology to record vocalist and musicians live, why couldn't tv do it. Watching lip sync doesn't cut it, especially when a piano or acoustic guitar is all you need with the vocals.
So true, but Marianne Faithful said in a interview that she want this voice. She was addicted to Heroin and homeless!! Marianne is clean since 1985💝 A fantastic beautiful woman 💕
i cant belive i'm gonna said this but i like this more than lennon's version pardon me for being shallow but she really sweet before her voice became hoarse..
It's much more than just smoking, though that does damage the voice. Marianne was homeless, a heroin addict, and most of all had chronic laryngitis over a period of years in the late 60s and early 70s. Her vocal chords are permanently scarred and damaged. I think what she's been through and rose back from is amazing, and the voice is an incredible instrument as cracked and ravaged as it is.
I am now 82 but I still love Marianne Faithfull with all my heart
i'm 90 and love her also.
probably the best cover of this Beatles-MCCartney classic......beautiful voice......Marianne we all still love you
I so admire this lady. I would like to talk to her. She has been through so much, and her beautiful soul lives on. Love to Marianne Faithful. ♥️
In a word, breathtaking.
Both the song cover and young Miss Faithfull.

The best cover, the best version.
Never heard this version before, sang beautifully by Maryanne Faithful!
Marianne Faithful sings and looks like a Goddess. Simply Beautiful.
Lots of people say that about me.
Stunning! Her rendition of As Tears Go By has been one of my all-time favorite songs since it first came out. I can't believe this is my first time hearing this!
Where have you been ?
At 65 years old, I'm still in love with her.
I'm 60 and really love her. She could have been so much more ...
@@davefaddel6761 I agree
@@davefaddel6761 still she's better than most of us mortal beings.

Paul McCartney is just a master. Thank'syou Paul for this masterpiece.
Beautiful. Marianne is an angel. Paul McCartney loved her voice so much that he tried to copy her voice and phrasing when he sang 'Here, There and Everywhere' for the album 'Revolver.'

@@lilianelucas8123 The end is spooky that chorus......
I heard that Trump is doing a cover of it. He's going on the road with his new band - Donny and the Grifters.
AWESOME VOICE! ALWAYS LOVED HER MUSIC. SO BEAUTIFUL TOO. HER, AND, MICK MADE A GREAT COUPLE!🥂🥂🥂
Божественное исполнение.

I worked and travelled with Marianne in the 60's. Have some amazing photo's.
Lucky you. My first girlfriend gave me the record : is this what I got for loving you and I always associate this record with her.
I am now officially & for the first time in my life JELOUS lol
She was very special; truly one of a kind. ❤
The extra loud background was a blessing, hiding her imperfections. I loved the choir.
Good Heavens! I remember it then, and still haunting.
the accompanent, arrangement are so masterful that i cannot listen only once but twice then it get's to me lastingly.
Chór najpiękniejszy w tle❤
Very beautiful song...

When she was young she sufferd so much
I wish she enjoy happy life and peacefull old age.
beautiful cover!
I had no idea that Marianne had covered this McCartney classic. She definitely has the right voice for it.
Phantastisch da kann sie ihr Liebhaber verstecken. Die Stimme ist einmalig.
Id forgotten just how beautiful she was . xxx
Beautiful
my great grandfather's name was perrin duplantier.
wonderful lady, love her cover of Its All Over Now Baby Blue
Nicely sang:::peace stay strong

Beautiful 😋
superb!
the hypnotic sound of pure innocence before her fall into corruption that crippled her voice into comforting tones of trauma
tears...
She nailed it Jim...:-)
Brava

I love hear it
I was conditioned to think that the Beatles were the first to sing all the songs in their albums. Many were sang by singers years before the Beatles did.
Yeah but this was written by Paul McCartney and on the album Help! It's not unknown that they sang covers on their very early albums.
@@niamunt It was the product of his lucid dreaming.
@@judparn1018 yes and still an original song.
Primer tema en inglés que aprendí con el curso BBC English a los 11 años fascículo 4.
ME ENCANTA LA CHICA THE ROLLING STONES, MUY LINDA Y BONITA VOZ.
Loved her in Grease
Whoa! She almost made this spiritual with “the angels” singing backup!
💗💯💋 Good song
I Believe.
Muchísimo mejor interpretada por ella que por los Beatles!!!
Naaah,,,,PAUL IS GOD!

This Song was a part of "english learning with bbc" casettes. 🙂
Марианна !👍✋👏👏💟💕💖❤💋💋
why didn't jagger or mccartney write more songs for her ,, i don't know ?
I love The Beatles but Marianne sang this one better than Paul did!!!
청순함과 문란함, 양면의 삶을 모두 누렸던 여자.
fantastic voice and a very lovely woman but later she got a voice like she had smoke tons of cigarettes in her life.
So true, but Marianne Faithful said in a interview that she want this voice. She was addicted to Heroin and homeless!! Marianne is clean since 1985💝
A fantastic beautiful woman 💕
She became addicted to various drugs later in life
Who is listening to it at 2021?
She is very pretty as a french doll.
QUE VERSION TAN HERMOSA...LA VERDAD NO LA CONOCIA....
우울증 애도 약간 그 골아픈 버지니아울프과
노래만좋아하세요^^
Of course this is better than Lennon's version because THAT VERSION DOESN'T FUCKING EXIST it's McCartney who sang it.
lol, Isn't it amazing how many uniformed dummies there are in this world?
England's REAL queen
nice :D
😊🎉❤
There's also a massive choir. Too bad they are invisible.
McCartney adore cette reprise..
i cant belive i'm gonna said this but i like this more than lennon's version
pardon me for being shallow but she really sweet before her voice became hoarse..
I can't believe you said that either mate, it was really stupid. Did you also listen to Paul McCartney sing 'Steel and Glass'?
She looks like Jane Asher!
This is what a woman's voice should sound like. not like the female shouting that pretends to be music these days.
marrianne has a beauityful voice ,but bad management
귀신 나오겄다 ㅡㅡ
manifiq!
Hadn't she smoked as much as she did or hadn't she done it at all;her voice 'd sound better despite her age.I like her ,though.
