I was going to subscribe but then saw you didn’t make anymore videos. It’s such a shame because I love to watch Aussie homestead videos. We retired from our farm a few years ago and now live in Queensland enjoying the warm weather. I miss the farm and so I like to watch others living the dream. Good tip for keeping all the plants healthy and strong and resistant to bugs and diseases, get yourself some worms and breed them so that you have worm tea to water on your garden. Totally organic and it’s the best helper for all plants. Our soil wasn’t very good but we had a lot of worms because we bred them to sell and using the worm tea improved everything a thousand times. 😊😊😊
Oh I loved this video! Please do some more!!! I plan to move from Brisbane to Tassie in the next couple of years and hopefully do what you're doing. I'd love to see some more material to keep me inspired. I hope your farm is doing well :)
WOW! Looks amazing! We’ve been contemplating an acre in Tassie for several years. Finally we are coming! I’d love to see more vids for some more inspiration! ❤️
Awsome stuff mate. Great to have so many fruit trees already established, even if you need to work out the possum problem still. I'm also in the south of Tas. Currently just growing some veg in an urban area but plan to get onto a few acres in the next few years. Looking forward to more videos and learning from your mistakes 😆
Love your house and also love your view and garden 🪴 it’s gorgeous. Can’t wait to be able to have our own farm instead of renting one. Just started my own page. You guys are great. Thank you xx
Not going to lie, wondering if it's worth the move from Mid Coast NSW to Tassie to restart the homestead, this is making me lean towards a big old yes!
Thank you for showing your property. May I ask why you chose Tasmania, and where were you before? I am in Melbourne inner metro, and looking to move away from the craziness, but I don’t know where to go - Australia is a big country! I am tempted by the nice weather and beaches in QLD, but drawn to the clean air and forests in TAS. What are your reasons for choosing Tassie, and what do you like about it now you’re there?
Great question! We hated the heat. After living in Queensland up north and south, and Sydney, we knew we like the cold. The price at the time was right for what you got too. The people are great, everything is a lot more relaxed. Honestly a big thing for us was food. So much local produce, and a huge range (not just potatoes and apple), and the ability for us to grow our own meant it was a no brainer. The views, and drastic changes between seasons are also a big winner. We visited here for about 6 years before moving.
Still here buddy, just have not had the time to do more with videos. We’ve done a lot of new fencing, redone the orchard, planted a ton of trees, and the list goes on. Definitely having a great time, and will never be leaving this place.
I've been slack on the ol' videos. Plenty going on right now, working on a new fence so we can really ramp up the production of food. I have a bunch of videos i need to process and publish, hopefully not much longer now!
Sorry you didn't like the video, and sorry to disappoint but won't be closing the channel any time soon. I hope some good comes to your life so you have something better to do.
@@MrFarm-sz5wf I agree with that guy. Close this channel. You obviously didn't survive a single winter in Tassie and nicked off back to the warmth... That's why you didn't post any more videos, right? And OI Tassie is supposed to be a secret! Don't tell everyone about it, they'll come here and wreck it!
@@Yogsoggeth pretty nasty and bitter piece of work you are. Why should the channel be close? We are still here, still loving it, and still working on creating content. Tassie is our home and we have been working hard making our life here. Plenty going on at our place and in the community. Not sure if you were aware, but the world changed pretty drastically soon after I posted this video. We had many challenges to face and earning money from work became a big priority. Not that I should have to provide and explanation to someone like yourself. If you are already in Tassie, and have this toxic negative attitude, it sounds like you are doing a better job at ruining it than anyone moving here will. Next time you’re feeling upset, and bitter about whatever video you watch, maybe just move on instead of spreading your rather sad commentary around from your lacklustre account.
@@ryan.farrow ...And next time someone dangles obvious bait maybe don't bite. I knew you would, but how quickly and how big of a bite you took still impressed me. Yes I am "a pretty nasty piece of work" but satire and obvious trolling is sweet, not bitter. =D
@@Yogsoggeth cheers. Still here, still love it and still wear a T-shirt all winter. I made this video initially for friends and family, and have no responsibility to continue to produce videos regularly in order to satiate random internet users expectations of me. You say it was obvious bait and that you were trolling me. So what you are telling me is you get enjoyment out of saying antagonistic stuff and watching the discomfort and unpleasantness you cause with your commentary. Pretty messed up way to pass the time dont you think? What you said could hardly be taken as satirical. I’d say it’s a case of schrodinger's douchebag. One who makes douchebag statements, then decides whether they were “just joking” or dead serious based on whether the people approve or not. Anyway Yog, you do you, maybe try and find better ways of enjoying yourself, and I hope that my lone video brought you some enjoyment before you felt the need to comment negatively.

Yes more videos!! I hope you are well 😌
I am so excited to see how this all turns out! Thank you so much for sharing.
Great space mate! Hope there are more videos! I was bummed when I saw that there wasn’t! :(
We will get there, was a crazy time with covid and work. Plenty on our Instagram but the videos take more time. Lots of projects in the works.

It’s the best decision we ever made, if you love to slow down and be part of the community, it’s a seriously special place.
Nice to see your Homestead just stumbled across it new sub cheers
New subscriber, we live in Tassie also! I enjoyed your video. Your doing a great job 😊

Isn't it the greatest place in the world? Stay tuned, plenty of mistakes to be made. Working on the possums right now.....
Looking great! Looking forward to seeing more videos from you :) I can tell this is going to be an amazing channel already! Keep up the good work

Maybe next vid!
Living the dream mate. One day...... :)

I love Forster, and have a place in Stroud, but Tassie is definitely next level.
We are predominantly hunting for the right property in Victoria, but Tassie has a lot of appeal!!
And then BAM house and land prices explode in tassie 😑 and drive out the locals

Please update your video.. so beautiful, calm, and peaceful
Our grand parents seemed to believe in boiling the green out of a lot of veg
Where can I buy a Mr Farm Hoodie?
What ever happened to the homestead? Are you still there?
So what does the little Kiwi berry taste like?
Steve Waters it actually tastes like a kiwi fruit.
more videos?
Anymore vids planned?
2 years. How's it going?
It got cold so they went home.
