One reason why food's still hit or miss here, is people don't complain. No need to be rude or aggressive, just a polite "this is awful, I'd like summat else or me money back". Shame with it being Nat's B'day n' all🤷♂️.
I just throw the plate over the bar.. n take the table n chairs home for fire wood n maybe nick a few knifes n forks n some vinigar n that happy days...

I used to visit Wetherspoons on " Curry Thursday's " and found the currys quite acceptable. Sometimes some of the chicken was overcooked. I had their Currys in various Wetherspoon restaurants and they were all ok, not remarkable but not too bad.
Portions down, prices up, Spoons trying to claw back money lost from lockdowns, as are most other places.
First,happy birthday Nat,I hope your day was lovely in spite of the food.Secondly never been to a Spoons,they didn’t exist when I was growing up in Birmingham,we have places like that here in the States,and I find the only safe things to order are the starters,never order the mains as they are always dreadful,desserts are usually fairly good.What I do for my birthday dinner is choose a cuisine then read the reviews,and menu till I find a restaurant that appeals to me,then we go there,it’s never failed I have enjoyed all my birthday dinners.For my 79 th birthday this year we had Chinese,at a very good Sichuan restaurant.If I make it to 80 it’s going to be somewhere fancy,don’t know yet, I have almost a year to go,and at my age who knows!!Again happy birthday luv.

Hi I believe food in weatherspoons is poor in all the branches
Seems like weatherspoons have cut their portion size even more it used to be hit and miss but now seems to be all misses

Purely depends on what your getting.
The best thing is the fish and chips, I find the fish to be great.
Beef burgers are rubbish, chicken ones are decent
Looks terrible Keith, last couple of years the portions have got smaller too in spoons . One thing that's consistent at spoons is you're guaranteed to get a sticky table . Happy birthday 🎂 Nat 😊

Weatherspoon’s like every one is clutching at cheap prices but low quality. It’ll be one of the next places to go bump because people are figuring out it’s cheaper and more tasteful to cook at home. Guys like you help us out thank you for the honest feedback ❤️
I can't stress enough how much cheaper it is to cook at home seriously. I'm seeing a lot of families of 4-6 eating £3.50 frozen ready meals for each person and no way is that economical.
That looked like something I wouldn’t feed to a rat, the rice looked like it had been microwaved about a dozen times, same with the burgers, the pizza was embarrassing and the rest looked like cat puke. I realise the staff are underpaid and bored out their ti*s but how can anyone serve this diarrhoea up as edible food. Spoons will go bust soon with these standards.
Hi Keith I find with Wetherspoons you need to stick to what they cooked & served OK last time, maybe pizza next time or stick to the fish & chips. That rice looked old & stale with your nasty chilli, also I would have taken it back & asked for something else, don't put up with it otherwise it is a rip off. Happy Birthday Nat.

Wow, that was the worst Wetherspoon's meal I have ever seen. Generally I think the food in Spoons is okay but that rice was shocking. I must admit I always avoid veggie Chilli. Without meat it is unsatisfying.

One would think that they would serve your meal with sour cream, salsa and grated cheese to make it into a proper Mexican style meal. Perhaps the business needs a suggestion box, or for people to complain occasionally. ?
A bit of customer feed back is useful to keep a business fresh.

Back in the day when that lot would have cost you about a Tenner, you wouldn't really have moaned. That muck they served you wasn't worth £4, let alone the best part of 40 quid. I would have sent the lot back and demanded a refund. Spoons should really forget about the full menu and concentrate on being a cheap watering hole and serve snacks like Pukka Pies and Chips, Bacon Sarnies, & Sausage Rolls, not even Spoons can mess that up.

I used to eat there every other day but the food has gone way downhill since lockdown.

Alright Nat. That looked awful. I just have one meal from the spoons and its a big breakfast. Can't beat it it for value but everything else is pretty crap!

Looks like the the Tin of 5 beans I bet they just put chilli in and Microwaved discusting how can they charge for that.
Used to work in a weatherspoons kitchen the food is proper chit, that five bean chilli is split in half from the original portion and frozen packet rice with stale tortilla chips prob. Only recommend a steak, burger or for the fish days
Omg the 3 dishes looked underwhelming . The chilli I've seen better snack pots than that and the pizza looked anemic 😊😊
Eating maccharoni with 'nduja and cheese sauce, sure i'm better off, it's even made in Italy. 😊
I'd never eat in a spoons awfullfood horrible atmosphere as well there's always something wrong with the food ionly go there on the odd occasion for a cup of tea

Hi Keith, hope you, Nat n your lad are doing well and all is good mate. Based purely on looks I'm in firm agreement with you. That food looks shite. Very surprised as I've always had great food from Wetherspoon's. I've had fish n chips at our one about five times n it's always delicious. There could be a few more chips though. Their portions are a bit tight. Certainly won't be ordering what yous had. 😊
🇦🇺 it is a fanchise only as good as the cooks they employed and being a pub some dont exactly care if they have much experience. Shame that.

I would never eat there, or Mac Donald's, although I do like their milkshakes. You would have been better cooking a nice meal at home.

Well, I used to love their Chilli con carne but that has gone now. Your five bean thing looks nasty as does any meal with no meat. I still like JDW and go Tuesday for steak club mixed grill. Still a bargain hope it lasts. Don't forget that stuff you are eating is cheap. Go to a Chef and brewer with your tribe and you'll need deeper pockets.

Nat should of got some sauce on that burger, it didnt look bad otherwise, same with the pizza they normally supply those. As for the bean chilli, that just looked horrible, you didnt even get any cheese on it, ive had cheap microwaved meals which looked far better. And how they screwed up the chocolate cake baffles me, and sounds like bad management throwing out anything to the customers without checking quality.

I thought there was no actual chef as such working in Wetherspoons but I could be wrong
