- Blood Mage/Spirit Healer vs the Arishok in Dragon Age 2.
So, this always interested me: My Guardian Angel Spirit Healer build took down the Arishok within two minutes, and she did not use a single offensive spell.
What would happen if I would respec her, and give her some Blood Magic and cold spells?
Well, this happened...
I beat the guy in 52 seconds, without potions, healing or running around the pillars.

Since my Spirit Healer took down the Arishok in two minutes without any offensive spells, I decided to test out how fast I can beat him if I use Blood Magic and some cold spells too.
Well, pretty fast it seems. This little experiment turned into a badass Blood Mage/Spirit Healer build, which was able to solo the High Dragon, Corrypheus, Gifre and Becon(the double revenants), and Hybris.
Pretty impressive! :)
I'm really interested in the exact build you tried :D any chance you could note what attributes/skills/spells you chose? :)
@@JohnDoe-gi8jg I will make a build video about it later. :)
Yeah this was really cool to watch. I see that the next game seems to use the flashy style of DA2 so I hope it'll be fun too with how crazy it can look.
Great video. I was just wondering if you are going to make a bulid video for this bulid also love the videos
@@NukaColaAddicts Yes, I will. :)
I remember a walkthrough I did years ago on a former channel. Was able to nuke the Arishok within 30 seconds by using hexes, haste, and the coldest staff available. I will never forgive Bioware for not giving the Champion set until after this fight. Still remember the hype trailer to this day.
always love to see DA Content, keep going sir!
Arishok: "How can a Sarebaas be so strong? My axes didn't do anything to Hawke."
See this is why I love DA2. When it gets it right, it feels f*cking awesome. God I miss whacking enemies with my staff.
i hope they bring melee combat with staff back in Dreadwolf
Fuck it, make a whole monk specialization who loses all range and just goes full melee.
@@SaganTheKhajiit and call it dragon's gate 4
@@undershaft8828 As if there was never any game with monks in it other than Baldur's Gate. Nope. Never. No Neverwinter Nights, no Pillars of Eternity, Pathfinder Kingmaker, nothing. Monks are only in Baldur's Gate and nothing else ever.
Yessssss more DA2! 🥰 i really love this game and his combat mecanic, i love playing it in insanaty with a mod that allows you to reach level 60 in the end, the enemies are kinda hard but you get use to it and is not that hard if you practice n.n
The goat
I DEMAND DA2 SOLO NIGHTMARE WALKTHROUGH
I second this request.
Impressive, We want the arishok against a warrior hawke with no dlc equipments.
Honestly, warriors are very poor against the Arishok. Weapon and shield ones are tanks, and two handers are made for crowd damage, not single targets.
Weapon and shield warriors can tank the damage, but it involves a lot of potion chugging and slowly chipping away his health(this is especially true without dlc equipment). A two handed warrior fight is basically running around until your heavy hitter skills recharge, then hit him with them and start running around again. Repeat until the ox dies.
Pretty unimpressive and boring in my opinion. I have a video of both a two-hander and a weapon and shield warrior, and both are pretty sluggish compared to a rogue or a well built mage. They both use dlc equipment, and yet it takes quite some time for them to beat the bull. Without it, it would be even more of a slog.
Sadly, warriors are just not built to fight with the Arishok. This is a massive developer oversight in my opinion. Especially since in Origins, everyone was fair game against Loghain.
@@AKisHerceg Fenris is better then hawke 👌 .... also Sebastian is better then archer hawke ....
@@fozzesI can see that for Sebastian but I disagree with Fenris is better than 2-handed warrior Hawke tho. Tevinter fugitive skill tree is kinda like poor man Berserk IMO. Sure the sustain, it’s upgrade and Deflect passive is great but everything else is kinda meh. He really have to kill some normal or critter first for him to really shine but when the passive kick in he still feel underpowered to me. But if you built him to emphasis on exploiting the BRITTLE status then he can be really powerful that way.
For Sebastian, Royal Archer skill tree is a mix between Assassin and Shadow specialisation so I can kinda see that even though I’m not fully agree.
But maybe that just me tho so 🤷♂️
@@AKisHerceg you made the bloodmage & other classes very impressive, I thought you might also can make the warrior impressive too, Generally warriors at DA ll don't do any damage they're supposed to be more TANKING, I still think Fenris is better then warrior hawke even against the arishok, I didn't play this game long time ago, If i spare some times I'll try to make " impressive " battle between warrior hawke & the arishok, I'll add the video if i think it's impressive.
wait, so you don't need to run around in circles to beat the arishok? also, i love how your hawke impaled herself before he could do it
You love to see it happen.
I didnt know he was weak to nature dmg . And o was running nature dagger + a spirite dagger and i 1 rotated him on nightmare with the mark of death + backstab + assassinate + twinfing + explosive shot rotation . I didnt beleive it when the cutsceen came up 😅
How in the hell? Teach me master yoda?
👍
oO how?! that is impressive
been playing through dragon age and been stuck on what class to play for DA2 any idea when a build video for this will be uploaded as definitely wanna try this out!
0:44 They be greasing the floors out here.
Huh. You were casting Blood Magic spells without having the Blood Magic sustained ability on, or at least that's what it looked like. Is some mod giving that ability?
Edit; I am blind and also forgot about a bug in that fight. Blood Magic is definitely on.
Nope, no mods. BM is on. :)
@@AKisHerceg Huh okay fair enough.
@@wanderingshade8383 I checked it on my phone as well, and I can see it, especially if I look at it horizontally(if you watch it on your phone, try watching it horizontally). In the bottom right corner you can see both Rock Armor and Blood Magic is being sustained. Healing Aura is not on. :)
@@AKisHerceg YOU ARE COMPLETELY CORRECT! I am just blind.
I think it’s a bug only for the Arishok fight that, if I’m not mistaken, whatever sustain you have before the fight that you activate, the mana/stamina bar will show that it’s max out but the actual reduction effect still kick in.
Please correct me if I’m wrong as well 😂
My life is a lie, I hated this fight.
That sword stab animation is so lame, hawke should be dead by that , lmao.
