This was great! I’ve heard a lot of your story, but it was wonderful to see it all put together and to see you all on one stage. A great crew of people and you did a wonderful thing with Joe and his well-deserved life-time achievement award!
I spent 4 years in San Antonio and left saying Y'ALL. I'm surprised you (Matt) don't use it more. I'm impressed with the knowledge this channel imparts to the builders. Some day, maybe I'll have an opportunity to build a new home here in wildfire-prone SoCal.
I’m just a lowly ol DIY’er but I really wish I could’ve went to this. Been watching since Matt wore glasses lol. I appreciate everything you and the folks over at build show does
Wow I never would have guessed I have so much in common with Matt other than love of construction! I’m originally from Houston tx and I’ve been living in Pittsburgh since 2010. Haha man small world.
There are tons of videos on that, you have an entire that can't burn, a curtain around the house that can't burn (not mulch) and you have a screen to stop embers from getting in the attic.
SO - Are "builders" (For the specific Job Title)...in the USA, carpentry trained - or Stone masons?? or merely labourers (construction workers with no trade "school" ) who somehow fall into getting a contractors license. - Listening on...
Joe Lstiburek is a Renaissance Man of construction. Building Science is now a true art.

This is a great way to share the knowledge, learnings, and questions!
Always build better, for many lifetimes of good living structures.
We were there for that! Great show!
Love you're show man! I'm learning a bunch which I'll use on my own home!
Matt this is amazing. I’ve learned so much from you! I’m a home DIYer!

Very cool!
Hey Matt. Video request: how to build a fire resistant house. More relevantly: how to retrofit to increase fire resistance. Thanks!
Concrete is hard to ignite. Take an investigatory trip to South America and see how they do it.

Okay, you're praying? I'm out.
Chill out dude. It’s a prayer. Won’t hurt you.
@@theverdictisstillout People with their b.s. religions have done a lot more harm than good.
You're out - that's an apt description!
