What a great career guide! I used most of described strategies but it took me years to develop it. This video will save a lot of time to young professionals. Hovewer, all these strategies are just prerequisits - you not only need to execute them perfectly but also have a bit of luck in order to end up at a right place in right time. Success = skills * luck. Both components are essential and the less of first one you have the more of second one you'll need and if any of components is zero then the result would be zero regardles of second value.
Hi, there. This is great stuff. Thank you for sharing. I actually tried to start my own Sass business a few months ago. Well, the overall experience is pretty bad. It’s been 6 months, I have not got any customers with only a few signups. I felt as a software engineer, knowing how to build something only contributes to the tiny portion of the success. Knowing sales and marketing is actually the biggest part which we are always lacking of as the technical person. I know everyone is talking about growing your audience by offering values on social media, then convert them into customers. Is it the only way? I am a pretty shy and ugly looking person, it just feels so hard to do it.
Maybe try and get a sales person on a commission only basis (but make the commission really good) you can definitely teach yourself marketing if you know tech
What businesses we can run as software engineer other than soft tech company etc. I am full stack developer but still trying thinking what to do , like should, I create SAS, E-commerce, wast much of my time. Can you you create a video for give examples specific businesses soI can start as entrepreneur in third world country.
Just subscribed! Recently discovered your channel and enjoy the points you make. Just curious if when you were on Shopify did you have your own private label product or did you just sell a little bit of everything?
, I want to start a web business, but I'm not sure if I should dive right in or gain some real-world experience first. I’ve done some basic courses and am currently building a web project, but I lack practical experience. Should I take a job to gain this experience before launching my startup? If so, what type of job should I look for-maybe in machine learning or AI, since web development seems saturated? Please help!
If you are a social person with lots of connections, able to sell yourself very easily and already have clients lined up, set up straight away and hire someone to help you out. If you are an introvert and don't know how to begin, get experience first and try to start looking at how things work and what kind of clients are out there. I set up on my own at the start cause all jobs wanted 3 years experience, then later on I got a job. While self employed I made almost no money whatsoever cause I'm not a natural at sales/networking
Summary: Stop working for the big Tech companies, start a startup ! Love your video, you are very authentic. Feels like I am listening to a friend

Great point! I have always worried about not having enough knowledge to start a business. I'll give it a try now. Thanks, bro.

Thanks ideally if you can give more specific examples of paths to take
