I grew up skiing with my Dad but the time we have been able to spend together at he ski resort of the years has diminished since I lived in Arizona after college and now Idaho. It is our goal to get at least 1 day if not a father-son trip in every year from here on out. My Dad and Mom came to visit us in Idaho for Brady's first birthday this year so it was the perfect time to get some turns in at Bogus Basin!

What's up everyone!? So stoked to have you here at the Active Dad community! My name is Jimmy and I have an amazing wife named Meg. We live in Arizona with our son, Brady, that was born in January of 2020. He such a sweet, happy boy and has learned a lot already. We got him a helmet to fix plagiocephaly around 5-1/2 helmets so be sure to follow along with his progress! My wife and I are both very active people who love camping, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, wakeboarding and many others. Probably the thing that I'm most excited about with being a parent, is teaching my kids about all the fun activities there are to do in this world that I love.

Bro. Just saw your video of you enjoying riding with your dad. What a wonderful thing you got going there. My father passed away suddenly 2.5 years ago at 73. I still miss him everyday. I ride but he doesn’t but we do other things when he was still with us. Cherish those times my friend. I have twin boys that I will have them start riding next year. The mountain is a special place, a sacred place for father and son to share. Thank you for sharing.
Even without some of the vertical, broader terrain variety, or other things bigger mountains are known for, we've fallen in love with Bogus in the 3 years we've called it our home mountain. The management is top class and the year round activities/features are amazing for just about anyone. The icing on the cake for us is that fact that it's a true community non-profit organization, which sets it apart from any ski resort in the lower 48 to my knowledge. So glad to see other newcomers get up there and enjoy it! Also, your dad has some skills!
Couldn't agree more! I was a little concerned about the vertical but there was a lot more steep terrain than I thought there would be! Looking forward to spending lots of days there!

Thank you! I honestly was not expecting much from Bogus Basin since I notice the elevation drop wasn't that much but I was greatly surprised by the resort! All the lifts were high speed which I am not used to and I thought there was a lot of great terrain to check out! I love that it is my new local mountain.

Hey thanks a lot! Yes my dad did ski Bogus one other time but must have been 30 years ago so he didn't remember much. This was my first time and we both loved it! I was a little concerned that the elevation drop wasn't as much as some of the other resorts that I've been to but it didn't bother me at all! I loved all the different types of terrain and still have a bit more runs to check out there. Thanks for the feedback! I'm actually going to be making a video in a few weeks asking for peoples feedback on why they subscribed and what they are hoping to see more of in future videos since my content is a little across the board in the first year of the channel.
