- A quick tour of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. You'll see 18th Ave. and 65th St. Some of the old Italian businesses like Villabate - Alba, DaVinci Pizza, and the Italian Records remain. Over the last 20 years, however, Chinese immigrants have mostly moved into the neighborhood. Russians and Arabic residents are included in the demographic.
Not the Brooklyn I knew. So sad. RIP.
Yeah fr, and I lived there for 8 years
It ain’t what it used to be!
Nice tour!
All the Pisans moved to Staten Island and NJ.

Not all of them, bensonhurst is a big neighborhood. It still has a few thousand italians probably still living there at least. But not like it was back 50 years ago when it was like 70 percent italiano.
Is Pisan a place in Italy?
@@42luke93 That word means friend in italian

A horrible thing happened in Brooklyn, NY Lou Barbati the owner of the famous L&B Spumoni Gardens was shot and killed. Lou was a great guy. God bless him and his family. I dedicate my song "The Brooklyn Song" to Lou (LuLu) I feature L&B Spumoni Gardens in my video and music. m.ruclips.net/video/vrQXnkPPDiM/видео.html

North end Boston has a vibrant area
Michele Preiato not true. Are still vibrant neighborhoods where Italian businesses, masses in Italian, festivals, Italian spoken, etc. True not as big of areas in past, but they still exist. In Chicago (not the old Little Italy anymore than not old one in NYC) but exist in both cities, including in the Bronx, and along la Corsa Italia on far NW side of Chicago/near suburbs.

We're all the Italians go the neighborhood changed for the worst unreal
The Italians are to blame, they not only sold out, they complain the most about the changes. they have nobody to blame except themselves and before anyone calls me out for my comment I'm an Italian that admits to this.
Yeah I'm baffled every time i see the same comments on videos like this. They weren't dragged out of their homes against their will; the Italians sold and left. How can we be upset at the people who moved in when the previous residents left?
Yup, correct. Nobody to blame but themselves.
GREAT 👍 VIDEO GOOMBA
They had to ruin the neighborhood
Are there italian americans anymore?!

I was going to watch your video but that stupid song made me not want to watch it anymore.
Sorry - this was one of the first songs I remember always playing on the radio when my parents were driving me around Bensonhurst at the time.
Stevens Tabarens You could've muted it.
Cafe Italia, milla luci all of the pastry shops...all gone...still love bensonhurst...Vegas diner gone also...it's a Chinese buffet joint now...shame...back in the day if you weren't Italian you weren't allowed in the neighborhood...now we the Italians are the minorities
Vincent Padovano God damn shame!that’s why we shouldn’t of let them in & notice all races from Chinese to Russians & Browns & Blacks want to live amongst our people!
It was a shame when they closed Vegas Diner. That was the happening place for drunk goombas.
Bensonhurst has done a demographic shift. Deblassio's tax hike against the Italians.
I don't understand your point. This is America, a melting pot. If you were welcomed and accepted when you and/or your ancestors came long ago, why can't you do the same?
I'm Italian too, born and raised in Italy, and 11 years ago I moved to Germany. Nobody disdained nor rejected me, but took it as an opportunity to enrich each other.
Good. Fuck you racist pieces of shit. Kick rocks and go cry a river somewhere.
