- Film star Emma Thompson and her husband, actor/producer Greg Wise, have been eager to provide a haven for hedgehogs in their back garden.
Both are passionate about wildlife and have dedicated space in their garden as sanctuary for wild animals. Wildlife Aid admits a great many orphaned hedgehogs each year and, now, as these two are are fit and healthy, they are ready for release into a suitable environment.
Emma and Greg were thrilled to discover that Simon wished to release not one, but two fortunate hedgehogs into their care. The male, also coincidentally named Greg, rushed eagerly into his new home; the female, however, was more cautious. But, after a bit of time, she too was comfortable in her new habitat. It was a great success for all, with Simon, Emma and the hedgehogs all very happy!

Greg was so proud of himself when tiny Greg went right into his house. It was adorable
This is my type of lady...she's awesome. Not only does she love hedgehogs but she makes sure they are happy in a perfect environment for them .I love how she's in front of a camera with no makeup and a ponytail which adds to the glow on her face with her new acquired treasure!

How absolutely fantastic! Oscar winning actress so completely secure in herself to appear in a video with no makeup, just a regular day, no need for a complete make up and hair crew for a reality tv style video. And she adores hedgehogs!! Love love love xxx

I adore Emma Thompson. Her house looks so cluttered and lived-in. I actually wasn't completely expecting to see _the_ Emma Thompson when I clicked the link, after I discovered this channel by following a link to see "Simon Cowell" get bitten by a magpie and realized "this isn't the asshole I'm looking for".

Wildlife Aid Yes, I was confused and slightly disappointed at first, but that ended quickly. Although it would be hilarious to see the other Simon Cowell get attacked by a swan (the angry dad swan that attacked Simon in another video).

Just saved a Hedgehog yesterday.
A rather prickly experience at first, but thanks to Wildlife Aid I knew how to pick it up (get the hand under its stomach and let it cling to the fingers) and carefully got it out of where it was stuck.

I've only ever known hedgehogs from people having them as pets. How much more wonderful to have them in a garden, in the outdoors, living and being themselves. Are they beneficial for the garden or tolerated if their a pest?? Lovely little beasts. BTW I live in the US, where they are not native. Miss T is such a sweet, good person.

I must look up this lady! Anyone so concerned about hedgehogs and having such a wonderful husband are the best. I've lost any and all interest in celebs here in the US because 99.9% of them are 110% douchebags. So nice to know there are some celebs that are regular and wonderful people!

Saw one the other night, about 2am, walking back to my place. From up ahead I saw a big dark shape scarper round the corner. I thought "Jesus, that was a HUGE rat!" but, upon turning the corner, I saw something suspicious.
A massive hedgehog, on it's hind legs with it's front legs propping itself up on a kerb, with it's head hidden in a bush. The hedgehog thought it was in complete disguise, invisible. I pretended not to notice it, whispered out loud "Wow I wonder where that hedgehog is? Must have been imagining things..." and once I'd passed it, I heard it's little hedgehog giggle.

is it just me or these
hedgehogs look different than the ones that are domesticated and you buy at pet stores? for some reason they look different....cute and beautiful too, though...☺😯
'Domestic' hedgehogs are a different species. These are European hedgehogs (our native species) and the ones available as pets are African Pygmy hedgehogs

It was obvious she knew she was getting 2 the way she had 2 hedgehog homes set up. Her reaction was funny but because she's a great actress she wouldn't made it look believable xDDDD
Actually the second one looks like it was set up quickly, since it's not built as part of the garden but kind of tucked in nearby to the fence. I don't think she really knew. That, or they may have build multiple houses in case the hedgehog rejected the first one they built.
Perhaps her husband was told
