  • PT1 Spec Miata Build From The Very Beginning, MX5, Autocross
    How about you and I take this box stock Miata and turn it into a SCCA, NASA legal Spec Miata on a budget. I will walk you step by step as we transform this car into a racer we can compete with. I know money is tight right now but we all still want to go fast, so lets see what its going to take to get on the track with as little funds as possible. NOTE we will not be skimping on safety.

      Ok Sushi, you have a choice. What should the next video be? Top removal, door disassemble or fuel tank modification? You pick for me.

    Hey Al, I'd like a way to support your channel through a t-shirt, sticker, hat, something like that.

      Do they use sand like here in CA. I do see some rust on the car parts but nothing on the body.

    Can't wait for you to get more into this series.
    Also, I hope you can clarify on the Hardtops as well all know the prices for an OEM one is ridiculous now.

    • @aracing
      @aracing  2 года назад +1

      Sure Kook, we are suppose to use a OEM hardtop. Mazda uses two styles a deluxe and non deluxe. The deluxe has a rear defogger and and a foam headliner. The non does not. As far as aftermarket, its up to you, I have never heard of someone being protested because they didn't have a OEM top. Not to say it cant happen. The car must make the min weight as outlined per class. Hope this helps

      @@aracing Thanks for clarifying Al!
      I heard some regions would just penalize if you use an aftermarket hardtop.
      How does your NASA region handle the Hardtops during tech inspection and would you by any chance know about the SoCal region Spec Miata?

    Love it! I wish I could find one in Texas at that price. Everything is like $6k and they’re barely running!

      I can remember just a few years ago, you could buy them all day long for $1000. I was paying $50 for rear ends at the wrecker, I called last week and they wanted $350 for a open 4;30. What the hec happen? I miss those days.
