I prefer vintage 50s/early 60s traditional builds, but understand and appreciate you keeping the 70s theme with this car. What a Smoking deal on your purchase. Great looking 34 ! Just found your channel and subscribed. Love your content.
That really is a Sharpe looking coupe and I'm a Chevy guy but I love that it is powered by a Ford engine and I am a big fan of fine line pin striping I've worked as a painted in body shops sense the mid 70s I was the youngest painter at a Chevy dealership ever I was 16 and yes I was a full fledged painter not a helper they called me the kid the average body man or painter back then was late 30s to 40s. My boss pushed me because he seen a future for me as a painter and he was also my girlfriends father we worked great together.
Absolutely gorgeous street rod. I'm getn ready to build a model car like this & it made my mind up on color choice & engine with high-rise intake instead of a blower. Keep that sweetheart looking pretty. ❤
What a great video about a great Hot Rod. You nailed the look and the overall restoration! Thanks for saving "Lady Luck"! And thanks for explaining all you did to keep it period correct. Well done.
2:56 Mcmullen's Roadster, Damn.. this is the most iconic '32 roadster ever! Ok, i know there's lots of '32 roadsters that are iconic, but.. this one is what i think when i hear the term "Hot Rod"! Nice video, new here.. Greetings from Brazil!
WOW!! Makes me wonder what my 40 Dodge coupe is worth. Original patina body & chrome riding on a custom chassis with 4 wheel independent suspension and disc brakes, B block dodge, auto trans and new interior. A true sleeper. The seventies were the best. Love the show and thanks for sharing. Cheers from Edmonton Alberta Canada
I live just north of Memphis and went to the nationals in 75 and 80, the last one in Memphis. (I think those years are correct). Great video! I never thought I'd see a "Let's make it 70s style" hot rod. Looks fantastic. Well done!
Nice ride sir, I like it, I might have rebuilt the engine, just because I can't leave them alone, but your car looks good and sounds good, enjoy your ride, and thanks for sharing
What a great project and your period correct updates are excellent except for the wire wheels. I had a set on my '57 Bird and couldn't keep them clean or balanced. To bad the original builder hasn't poped up, he looks like he did quality work 50 years ago. Thanks for the video
It is gorgeous nice looks on it intrestingly I used to have a lady luck t-shirt refridge magnet and a jacket with Lady Luck logo and the image of a woman mechanic!!
Hotrods like this didn't get to here in the UK till the 70s, so that's the era that is most representative to me. This one is so good it would surely have been famous if it had been built here, with features in all the top UK custom car mags. As a Brit, I'm amazed someone could have built something of that quality and still been completely under the radar! Love what you've done with it, though i'd have kept the original B+M "hammerhead" intake, it's so ugly it's BEAUTIFUL! The Cal-Custom "bug catcher" you ended up using became a cliche for "all show and no go" here in the UK with wannabe rodders shoving them on gutless 4 bangers! Often just bolting the thing to the middle of the hood and not ACTUALLY connected to anything!
This is one of those rare occasions when it is perfectly acceptable to give another man (the seller) a hug and a kiss (on the cheek). Amazing deal on a beautiful car, congratulations
Finally the restoration of a 1970's style hot rod. She is actually beautiful. All you need is a brand new paint job in the same car along with new same style pinstripes.
Great polishing job, that was a lot of work! I just can't like those scoops, but then I don't have to! Looks to me like the rear end needs to move about 1/2" forward. Beautiful car!
Good Golly Ms Molly!!!😮 Lol like Gator McClusky said " Shakey Puddin...get that gal of yours a new dress next payday??? Your a Lucky man to hav a Lady Luck like her to allow her man to luv and spend sooo much time with all his hotrod gals😅😂 Make us another video to watch please. I ll be watchn from Wild and Wonderful Wva. 2miles up the holler !!!
You know what your talkin' brother! McMullens 32 Looked so much better in its original form, (as did Soo many others). You sure are finden em' . Love, DuBs
I got a 289 years ago and it is in a mustang now . The engine came from a modified race car. The story is the driver of the car did not like the performance of the engine . So the guy I got from had it in a pick up. I had see it in the truck and heard it and said to the guy if you ever sell the truck I will buy it . When I had the oil pan off I saw weight shaven off the crank and the skirts of the pistons had been shaven . I sold the car to my nephew cause he had been asking his Dad to get the car and it was my brothers car and it became mine for my birthday. It still is running and I am getting it ready for the road again . The video is very impressive .
Hey sorry, I didn't see the rest of your video, before asking about the Ft. End'. Chevelle ball joints can fit, and, yes I'm dating myself here too! Your minor updates/ improvements are great, and didn't mess with Its character/ Og Styling. Dubs
Love this car and how you saved it without violating its 1970's vibe. Thank You... I am in Knoxville, where are you located? Just the town will be sufficient.... ....RooDog....
Regarding the dim tail lights, ditch any paints and use some highly crumpled-up aluminum foil; did this on my '32 tails and it brightens up like nothing else I ever tried.
I’m one more thing I would’ve not get rid of any of those parts and if you’d ever sell that car, let this parts go with it so that that was the parts on that car and when you backed it out of the garage that yellow pin stripe look good with that gold on that motorI would’ve never picked it but that looks very nice. I like white and gold and yellow gold jewelry so that’s that was a good good shot my friend. Take care of this beautiful.
Hey pudding creek I'm from Louisiana and I miss the 70s I was born in 1961 so the 70s was my teenage years and I got into paint and body work when I was very young in fack in 1977 I was the youngest painter in the city of New Orleans to ever work at a car dealership I was a full fledged painter not helper at the biggest chevy dealership In the city at q6 years old and I have alot of experience with Lacquer paint. Well in the 80s I was this guy Milton spells personal body man paint for his hot rod collection he was a self made millionaire he had a couple of 40 Ford coupes a 39 Plymouth that I seen him buy at a swap meet car show in fort Smith Arkansas this car was nice he only paid 3k for it and jumped in it and drove it home to Louisiana with not 1 problem. He also had a 35 coupe a 34 and 2 33 3 widow coupes and a 35 2 door Sedan that we did a 4 inch chop on and I filled the roof with a van ribbed roof took the gas fill neck off the back fender and put a square gas cap door that counter sunk into the back drivers side of the rear of the car I frenched the tail lights and stereo intenea😊
I used to hate the wire wheels but now that I'm old I can appreciate them properly. They have to be reverse deep dish though. I'd sure hate to have to clean them though.
You are a hole lot smarter than me. Would have went for a ride just as fast as I could have gotten it started. Maybe drove it home. But I never claimed to be brain sergion😂
the seats look like 69-73 mach 1 mustang high back seats i had a set in a 1974 ford Econoline custom van and everyday someone was trying to buy the seats from me it was candy yellow with baby moon rims small fiberglass fender flare finish oak running boards the side doors was gone you could never tell that they was ever there someone before me done a good job get rid of the doors it was sharp
Oops sorry I messed up and hit the send arrow but the lil 35 Sedan was shown at the local car shows for 11 years with the same paint work I did on the car and it was a pretty garnett maroon single stage ppg color that's was really popular in the 80s I also put the same color on 1 of his 40 coupes the best part about working for this guy was I worked whatever hours I wanted to day or night and every Friday as soon as I walked in his daughter would hand me a envelope full of hundred doller bills he was a really nice guy to work for. What ever happen to the 70s and 80s it was the best time of my life, I sure miss those days
Yeah, I was gonna comment on that front end also on how high it was .. get nose bleed and a tiket?? With that on the hight is, you’d run up into the back of a vehicle and take them out…. Lol

The seats look like vw from the early 70s.
Regarding the dim tail lights, ditch any paints and use some highly crumpled-up aluminum foil; did this on my '32 tails and it brightens up like nothing else I ever tried.
WOW nice video and very sexy "Lady Luck", the only thing that got me was the Mr. Pibb......Dr. Pepper is the King and the Original hahahaha
Glad to see a small block Ford instead of a junk GM.
No comment on the Chevy crossmember?? It's a streetrod... You build it your way.. every idea is yours... Not Ford or GM...
My brother best friend has shop full of street rod s 70s 😊

Nice to see that 289 in there instead of a sbc. The car is beautiful! Did I hear a 4-speed?
Yes sir. 4 speed with a Hurst shifter. I forgot to put that in the video. 😂

Since it's the 70's, you sure you didn't throw in a few Chaka Khan tunes ;) That makes you polish faster!
😂😂😂
We called them greed world
Ther was a Speed Equipment World parts store in Ft. Smith Ark. Sold hotrod parts.
🙌🙌🙌
Any chance you could send me a picture of the harmonic balancer up close on your new beautiful ride.

Amazon still has it.
@@puddingcreekrodshop Amazon says out of stock.
The seats appear to be from a '71 to '73 Mustang .
I knew someone would know. Thanks!
The true spokes don't give the car the right look compared to Keystone Rogues.... just my two cents
