Hi Corbett. In an article from The Journal of Light Construction called “Steam Shower Lessons Learned” by Doug Horgan (June 2022) he discusses installing a ventilation fan inside the steam shower enclosure and another one outside in the main bathroom. Although the articles refers to the design of a steam shower, I like the idea of taking the glass partition and shower door all the way up to the ceiling for a regular shower as well in order to prevent water vapor getting onto every surface in the entire bathroom. Would you recommend this two fan solution for a non-steam shower (with partition and door up to the ceiling) or would there be a potential issue with depressurizing the shower area if the shower door is closed and only that fan is running? Would you connect both fans to one duct to the exterior or have separate ducts? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
@@HomePerformance Hello. Yes, I believe theirs is. I certainly know I would like to build one that is air-tight. I can see the advantage of keeping all the steam contained within the shower space and using a separate ventilation fan in there but I worry about depressurizing the shower. Some steam showers have a glass panel above the door that can be opened like a louver to bring in air and help clear out the steam - would that be a good idea even in a regular, non-steam shower?
@HomePerformance, I know you have a strong position against UV or anything Plasma, sort of speak. But what do you think about Reme Halo? They claim to use an advanced oxidation plasma by creating hydroperoxides

@ryansoo4000 well then you can’t use exhaust fans, you have to use ports to the ERV. And no, I do not recommend.
Am I misunderstanding the answer to Grace's question that they are not allowed to differentiate for affects between male and female?
