📚 History:
Medieval village of Èze has a long and rich history. It was founded by the Ligurians around 200 BC, and then conquered by the Romans, the Saracens, and the Savoyards, who built a castle on the hill. It was attacked by the Turks in 1543, and besieged by the French in 1706, who destroyed the castle. It became part of France in 1860, and since then, it has been a popular tourist destination for many artists, writers, and celebrities. Èze is a place where you can see the traces of different cultures and eras.

You can stroll the streets and admire the architecture, the flowers, and the sea view, or visit the 18th century church of Notre Dame de l’Assomption. You can also visit the exotic garden with cacti, succulents, and sculptures, and enjoy the view from the ruins of a 12th century castle. You can explore the art and culture of Èze, such as the Galimard Perfumery, the Nietzsche Museum, and the Château de la Chèvre d’Or.
