But is there eight times the price difference......(shrug). What I want the camera for - the Dragon will do just fine. Just charging it up now.
A year later and the Dragon 4 is down to $35. For goofy underwater and dashcam vids, it's really a no-brainer. Pay for the quality and then expect it. Get the budget version for function and simple fun.

The front one is a bottom of the line Andoer, (China brand name)...Both have better bike picture stabilization than this camera. I suggest, if buying a China cam, to buy one with a name on it Andoer, Eken etc. $10-20 more. These things are great....lots of good accessories...I use them every day, they've both been charged 100s of times...Zero problems.
The difference in picture quality is quite noticeable, the audio quality is a bigger difference. The fact they GoPro clearly is the industry standard for portable action camera. And this clearly shows that you get what you pay for.
An "Action" camera without good image stabilization is pointless. Also, 4k is not real easy on the eyes to look at. 1080P is a softer image which is more pleasing to look at. Please don't get caught up in the 4K hype, people.
Unless you need audio the dragon touch is good if you ask me ...i need to make some time lapse videos and not concerned w sound so definitely gonna save the money and go dragon touch fo sho so thanks for the no nonsense comparison...

Hello, I am considering the dragon touch with comes with accessories at £30 about $40 (+64gb sd+ flexible tripod+ selfie stick all for $85.00). What I wanted to ask you is what you think about using a 12ft chest clip microphone with it. I will def use it without the case to record exercises and video blogs. Also, I use a Chromebook with Powerdirector and or Kinemaster apps to do the basic edits. What do you think of this setup?
Not doing so well. My go pro camera will not load my footage to my computer or my older one. I am here to check out the camera as a replacement, Biggest problem I had with the go pro is you cannot see if it's on or not as it lacks the viewing screen. TO check it you have to aim it at your face. Not good when you have no clue on editing. The 4 K camera is only 20 bucks now days.

i got last year a cheap 29.59nzd free shipping camera off tomtop it said it was 4k the sensor it used in the camera was a mid range 2.7k one made by sony so recording in 2k 30fps it is really good and video looks great it can even record 720p 120fps slow mo video and 1080p 60fps amazing camera for how cheap it was i am shocked how they made any money selling it that cheap

how is 1080p 60fps slowmo? I just got this camera for xmas and that is not slowmo..and also the exposure on this thing is horrible. the videos are dark as heck compared to my other budget action camera. IF it wasnt a gift from my kids i would totally send it back. Its junk.

The GoPro is much better but for $50 the cheapie is pretty decent but EIS isn’t great. Big difference with the audio as well. Great video though
3:15 I think the gopro brought out the colours pretty decent though the ground looks a bit pale on both cameras

Dragon needed EIS and some over-saturation/color correcting in editing and boom, decent footage.

Wouldn’t own the dragon touch ! The Akaso V50x for 99 dollars is the way for somebody on a budget, good image quality and excellent stabilization!

It's not 4K they just say that. It's more like 240 or 480p and then they upscale it (which is even worse)

I already bought the dragon touch because it had an external mic option. The image quality is terrible though.

GoPro Hero 7 definitely a better quality picture when you put them side by side but the dragon touch is great for the price.
