I don’t think they were prepared to do acapella since there’s only a harmony of voices and there’s really no beat or adlib which an acapella group would usually do. In my opinion, an instrumental accompaniment for this song would make it more majestic and the pause/transition will be less noticeable which makes the flow/continuity of the song smoother. But they did an awesome job especially with unexpected surprise change from Simon.
Simon saying "be good, be good" is any Filipino who joined the AGT messed up? Filipinos have pride in joining a contest like AGT if a Filipino joined it means he/she or they have exceptional and incredible voice but only Simon Cowell exploited Filipino singers and using them for the show and never given a chance to win the contest.
This is the first time I hear them sing in Acapella can't wait for their next performance it's a challenge for them to sing Acapella with beat to make the flow of the song smooth ... If they can do that kudos to Simon , he made a singing group into Acapella group hehe
