There are industries outside film industries that do have equal pay
It is not about pay parity.
It is all about business if women players can bring volume of money like men players do ,they will be paid same until then people should stop this non sense of pay parity
Your pay is directly proportional to the revenue you bring to your employer. This is why male sportsmen and female models get paid more.

I thought u were educated but this is really studip,all the players who play in an made ipl team are equal but they dont get paid equally,because they get paid according to there own indivisual worth,its stupid to say that men and women should be paid equally especially in sports because sports today is entertainment,more people watch mens sports so they get paid more,same goes for movies ,male leads are generally crowd pullers so they get paid more,now if there was a gay movie and salman khan and kartik aryan would be main leads ,both of them definately wouldnt be paid equally.You should get equal pay for equal work,but the work is entertainment is not of your talent its also how many people you can bring to watch your talent.

What is the use of dis
In the film industry it's different cos most people don't go in to watch female led films! Only a select few work, very rare. If you can guarantee people coming in to the theatre to watch your film than surely woman should be paid the same as the men. It's pure buisness sadly. Sport is different, but if you look at viewership (take for instance cricket)....how many people actually watch female cricket. Numbers are pretty low sadly
What about junior artists or newcomers in the films? Even they are not paid equally.
