FOAMIE & BUCKETS: season 2 episode 28! We got the nike Air Max 720 a couple weeks early and a big question that we had is, "Will this air bubble pop?" After all, it is Nike's tallest air unit of all time. So we did what we always do when we have a question about this kind of thing - we make a video and test the durability of the sneaker. they actually pop! i wore them during 3 months and one day I just realised one of the shoes was lower, and i only wore them for city walks, nothing crazy. they're uncomfortable and pop in less than 3 months, for 150€ ... big shit

If they pop within the first 30 days of purchase you can get replacements
Hey foamer and buckets, my lebron 16 air bubble popped from the outsole digging into the bubble. I sent them to nike to get inspected and they said that it was from a sharp foreign object. I only used them twice a week for 2 months for indoor bball. So now I am down money and bball sneakers. Do you have any suggestions on what to do next?
Love the fact that you test and update us on these Air Max kicks.
Something I kinda want to see though is more long term use of these. Like the wear 6months later or a year later. (If you end up wearing them that long.)

I’m still rocking mine and I think, generally speaking, this Air unit is durable. My concern is different - check the seam near the front of the shoe. You can’t bend that in half over and over like with the 270’s or Futuras. That seam looks like you could crack or make it come loose with some abuse. Other than that, still loving my 720’s.

My right air pocket feels different than my left one but it still has resistance in it so I’m not sure what’s going on But I kind of walk with a limp on my right leg might have something to do with it?

I've had a good time with these sneakers, after a year of wearing them I put them on one day and the right sneaker was just so much flatter than the left one. Returned them under nike's 2 year warranty, was growing out of them anyway, very comfortable but you have to be cautious with what you walk on. Going to try the vapormaxes now.

That’s what so confusing about these shoes, i don’t think it’s the air that gives them height or sturdiness. The plastic they used is pretty durable and seems like it will hold up on its own even if there was a hole in them
The life test is great. I almost always base my purchases with expensive air Max shoes off of the life test. This is such a good perspective. Why doesn't any shoe companies do this for consumers ? You and Esquire and the guy in the background are really changing the shoe and you tube game one video at a time. Thanks for all you guys do and I will continue to watch.
I have my 270s and I wore them on a hike today with sharper rocks and stuff and walking on giant boulders and stuff and they didn't pop

Just picked up a pair of triple blacks. Not as comfortable on feet as vapormax, react or ultraboost but they're much more suited to every day use. Also, they make you feel ten feet tall, which in your case, Foamie, probably isn't too far off!

@@randallallenstark1008 Yeah, I prefer the feel of vapormax on feet, but that's largely down to the upper. The 720 is a heavy shoe, made with thick material. My vapormax (black and white 1.0s) have leather on the side but the majority of the upper is a much thinner mesh, which is both far more flexible and substantially more breathable. Vapormax seem quite divisive, but I love mine. Incidentally, the 720s have improved in the last 2 weeks, so I'd say they definitely benefit from a breaking-in period. Oh, and I went up half a size as well. True to size was way too snug.
I just received some air max 720 818's and I'm really worried that fat air bubble will puncture after a couple of months, especially considering the way my heel lands when I walk. The sole underneath is so thin!

I love that Northern Lights colorway but can’t seem to find one maybe because it’s already 2021. I got a Black/Red mesh a few days ago on a full size up. And I pre-ordered a Bubble Pack (Black) from Singapore coz it’s one of the closest thing to the Northern Lights colorway. I hope to find one coz I really like ‘em. :(

My blue nike air max 360 did pop from the left shoe after lite-using it for 1.5 years and that totally disturbs the balance of the shoe as the support becomes very soft,,,,do not use them for running.

I have these. They were worn 3 times and I stepped on a earring in the subway last week. Boom. Luckily nike is sending me a voucher. They can be popped easily tho the bottoms are alot softer than my 2016's that are still in great shape. Thinking maybe the higher bubble means less durability unfortunately.
Mine popped about a year after I bought them. And I barely wore them before they did. And this was just walking on pavements/grass/gravel about 50 times. Nothing extreme.
It sucks because I genuinely believed them when they said they were as strong as a normal shoe! I was a bigtime supporter of the shoe. But I got proved wrong
You know, my Nike Max 95s have been worn daily since 2011 and nothing has gone wrong
