1:35 the shoe sounds like that every step, if only one is popped walking is very unbalanced. If it pops on the heel there is a chance for it to have less give. Also u can cover the hole with glue to seal it back up. and it will be back like new

I am wearing my nike 270 for over a year now.... and my nike vapor max plys for over a year and NOTHING happend... they are still perfect and the soles are completely fine

If you're going to fill air, once you pressurise the air max unit, till the time you remove the pump pipe, and glue it, all pressure gone. Or at least, the maximum pressure is gone, some pressure might be left but it'd be useless.

If they make the bubble with a harder material it won't be able to flex; maybe put a layer of hard plastic inside the bottom of the bubble, but if you're putting your weight on that step it's popping. At least Nike while give you a return/credit for the shoe though.

After almost 2 month of wearing them 3/4 times a week for 3-4 hours/day, the air bubble popped in the left sneaker. They look awesome and are very comfortable, but the quality is amazingly bad taking into consideration the price tag. Contacted nike and they couldn't do anything about it.

Definitely a low odd for thumbtacks when you compare to sharp rocks, broken glass and maybe even nails if you are near a construction site.
Thanks for letting me know that but I'm pretty sure I cracked the sole and now I have air leaking I dont have the regular 720 I have the 720 satrn but I dont think there is a difference besides how they look

Air seem more comfortable than boost *just a bit not very noticable * i believe but i prefer boost cuz it wont pop on a nail

Don’t tell them you stood on a pin though, just say you have no idea why the air bubble deflated, also happened with a pair of vapourmax, I had been putting string lights up on the fence using drawing pins and thats why I popped 2 pairs 270’s and vapourmax 🙄
At first i tried to pump it whit air and glue it and it worked for a few hours of use. Than i tried to fill the air sole with latex and i needed wider hole and nothing worked. Basically, the shoes are great when we talk about design, but talking about durability, they’re CRAP. 🤷🏻♂️

There’s not more air in it, but by it being enclosed putting pressure on the outside the pressure builds.
Because there’s a hole in your sole, the air can escape instead of having the pressure build up.

Air costs nothing right and by volume that sole is mostly air which cost nothing to make -- sounds like a case of the emperor's got no clothes. A react foam sole would likely cost more in raw material. I think Nike has gone as far as it should with these balloon type air units. People aren't really buying them anymore and they look cumbersome like clown shoes. I really wanted to like the 720 but just can't bring myself to buy one. Nike should concentrate on developing more intricate air cushioning with greater use of synergistic solid materials and strategically placed air units, like their air max 95, 97, and even zoom units, rather than just inflatable plastic balloons.

I have a pair of Air Max 90 that I use daily. Good thing the sole is sturdy enough to support your weight, even after I popped one of the air units. I had to pop the other one to even them out though.
