The 2023 Honda Accord, starting at $28,390, is a completely redesigned family sedan with an elegant and arguably the prettiest design ever applied to Honda's venerable model. The hybrid powertrain has become a more significant part of the Accord lineup for this new generation as it comes standard on all but the two least expensive trims.
In terms of fuel economy, the 2023 Honda Accord runs on regular unleaded fuel and delivers an EPA-estimated 29/37 MPG in the city and on the highway, respectively, with a combined rating of 32 MPG. With a fuel tank capacity of 14.8 gallons, the 2023 Accord offers a range of up to 429.2 miles in the city and 547.6 miles on the highway.
Under the hood, the 2023 Honda Accord is powered by a 1.5-liter inline-4 engine that produces 192 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 192 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine features 16 valves and a double overhead cam (DOHC) with variable valve timing, as well as standard direct injection. The car is equipped with a continuously variable-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
The 2023 Accord features a four-wheel independent suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. It has a length of 195.7 inches, an overall width without mirrors of 73.3 inches, and a height of 57.1 inches, with a wheelbase of 111.4 inches. The car's EPA interior volume is 102.8 cubic feet, and it offers 16.7 cubic feet of cargo capacity with all seats in place, with the same capacity for maximum cargo. The 2023 Accord has a turning circle of 38.4 feet and a curb weight of 3,280 lbs.

@Lucis Leesion It's a matter of market segment and customer perception. These cars are manufactured and sold in US based on the US market where value addition is considered an added cost whereas in Asia it is considered as cost of doing business. This market segment in US has been given a perception, although false, of boring economy dad cars whereas in Asia cars in the segment are entry luxury. Customer expectations in this sector in Asia are different to what we have in US. And also Honda Accord in US does not want to encroach on Acura sales. It's all about making more money while keeping customer expectations down to minimum in US.

VERy different indeed. I would've been more inclined to buy/trade in my current car had it had the features in this video.
Because in the US we have acura. In Japan they and most of the world they do not sell Acuras. Acura is the more luxurious version of Honda. Honda would never compete against itself that's stupid

Since I am a big fan of Honda and I love Accords the most, because when Honda first the accord to India it was treated like a Gold Standard Car for business-men, back then and even today, All though it was high on price it served as the most Refined I-VTEC, Reliable and the most advanced in tech. Even today there are thousands of Engineers who still use it as a daily commute.

Chassis and the 1.5 liter turbo engine is basically the same. Chinese spec is offered with plug-in hybrid and different interior design.

Sequential turn signals, automatic opening trunk, and a spare tyre. I’m surprised it doesn’t have fog lights and All Wheel Drive. It would’ve completed the car and shitted all over the U.S. version even more!
And it’s not a hybrid. God they need this in the US
Anyone looking to buy a new sedan shouldn't hesitate for a second to buy this car. I've got a 2013 Accord and after 10 years it still looks and feels like a brand new car. Haven't had a single problem. Just filled the tank and changed the oil every 10k km. Planning to keep it for at least another 10 years.
The Interior is as good as the Mercedes C Class , love the Ambient Lightings
I saw one yesterday on the freeway and I tried to get closer to see the brand and make and I was so surprised to see is the new Accord. Beautiful.

I would like the Acura suade seats rather than leather.
This is the Chinese spec top trim with 1.5 turbo engine. It is also offered with plug-in hybrid.

The Accord top of the line Touring trim in USA feels like crap compared to this. The exterior color and especially the interior is way more premium compared to the over-priced shit they are selling in USA.

No, not really, in Asia, Honda Accord is considered a luxury car versus in the US, we have Acura
It won’t be on the facelift. Look forward to it on the 12th gen instead. Maybe then Honda USA will manage to not cheap out and finally add such a basic feature.

Just can’t understand why the States don’t get the same features, whether built overseas or stateside. Although I like the new version here, because the outgoing gen looked abysmal imo, that version there is absolutely sharper.

Honda is focusing on China a lot at moment because in China Technology is far ahead from US that fact if the China have same feature as US, Accord in China won’t sell good enough.
@@SuperSymbol The sale of Honda is so good in the last decade in China, but it declined quickly in 2022 and 2023. Honda do these just for maintain the sale, but it is almost impossible.
Because Honda has the Acura brand in the U.S., which is their luxury brand. The Accord is considered a luxury model in China. If they added all of these features, the sales of Acura’s in the U.S. would plummet.

Because US car manufacturers and dealers are greedy and they know that people who buy cars in this segment consider these to be economy cars and don't expect premium colors or features. It's all about making the most money while keeping customer expectations to minimum.

@@einsaan yeah I know. That's why we have all these mods for the US Hondas to make it JDM. Tbh Acura in the US is falling behind brands like Kia and Hyundai so. Don't even start with Honda Canada getting all the good stuff in their cars too compare to the US. Like the Black Edition for the Pilot before the US. I'm actually waiting for that trim so I could get the new Pilot.

So disappointed in the US version of this car and Honda in general. The Asian variant of this car gets a panoramic sunroof, interior LED lights, power folding mirrors, what seems to be eye tracking for longer cruise control, a bigger better screen for the tachometer, a digital clock...What else am I missing? These are some pretty significant differences.

The design of the car looks awesome... But... The looks of the materials used on the build are cheap. I have had two Accords and my last Accord 2011 V6 EX-L, the interior was basically falling apart at 63k miles always indoors and used most of the time at night and not to mention the amount of rattle inside even with new shocks was just unacceptable. At 63k times I had to drop the engine to take care of oil leaks (valve cover gasket, rear main seal, front crank shaft seals and so on). I was heartbroken because I really loved that car.
Wow! The American version of the Honda Accord touring is so much different than the Japanese version. They didn’t cost cut on anything, they added what should be standard for this vehicle. So very disappointed with the American version.
