I feel like i'm listening to a oil explanation from Dom Deluise haha. Good video, just picked up my first diese truck. Trying to learn everything I can.
Great video. I only found this inside my oil filter but not when I drained the pan. Very strange although I did run it rich with an old carb for about 20 miles
I have 2000 international 4700 the oil is being pulled from the engine into the fuel pump. Have not been able to find the problem any information will helpful thanks
Put a drop of oil from the dipstick between your thumb and forefinger and then gently close and separate them it will tell you the viscosity of the oil (stickiness), then do the same test with fresh new oil and compare
Just built an engine started it a couple times always made sure it had oil, oil never rose on the stick from full, but it runs rich. Heard a squeak and shut it down immediately (aprox 15 start ups @ 3 mins each). Checked the oil and it was more clear than normal. Drained the oil and it was black and just like water (black could be caused from assembly lube color.) Strained the oil with 2 automotive paint strainers. Found no bearing material. Will change the filter and add new oil. Will my engine be okay?
I have problem with my seat leon 1.6 tdi cxxb engine, the negine oil is contaminated by diesel fuel. I checked injectors and are ok the dpf was cleaned, but the problem persists. Do you have any idea what can cause this problem?
@@CaptainDafu sometimes i drive short distances. but i get like 0.5 litres of diesel fuel in a month. when i get out oil dipstick or oil filler cap there is white smoke coming out, probably diesel fuel vaporized.
Good content. Great explanation. Thanks

Really common on gas/petrol engines. Stuck injectors are a big culprit, they can get stuck open also.

Yeah me too, somehow my oil filter strongly smells like gasoline, but the oil in the pan smells nothing at all.

Very good job sir
hello my bmw e30 dilutes gasoline in engine oil in a big percentage , what part i must fix or repair? please answer me
piston rings may be worn causing blowby, or an injector is stuck open.
leakdown test and injector cleaning and flowtest are on the List.

Did it have a carburetor or mechanical fuel pump? Or is it a modern GDI engine that tend to foul the oil with gasoline?
Will the diesel/oil mixture get hotter than just oil?
I don't know

Tandem Pump?
Most of the times smelling the dipstick isn't needed , my family car smelled incredibly like gas ,was like 7-8% gas
How about oil getting into return fuel?
Nice
Sry to say. But i see no difference in how the fluid drips on the 100% oil and 10% gasoline in it
Lol a good way to increase the risk of getting skin cancer
