there is one more ting you can use sci-fi to try out - LED lightning... I got ultra cheap Revell Slave1(for the fraction of a cost of Bandai one) to try out both chipping and LED lightning. Build is stress free - only couple of parts, that actually fit together, so you can go fast trough build and then plenty of "space" to experiment with paint, LEDs, servos (if you'r interested in that as well)...
Brilliant video,,I recently acquired the Ma.K LUNA GANS, and having only ever built aircraft, I'm really looking forward to this build,,my style is 'heavy weathering',, and like you say,, you can't go wrong, plus , experimenting with techniques is sort of encouraged. Thanks for the tips👌
Up until last month, all I've had done is science fiction (outside of a submarine I did for a family friend) during the five years I've been in the hobby. I ventured into real-world subjects last month when I did a Whippet tank and a German 21cm Morser. Stepping out of my comfort zone has taught me a lot and I'm glad I did it. I'm still not interested in airplanes though...
I can not disagree with you Chris , such a build can be really relaxing and very pleasant and you can freely work out your imagination. Surely I will work on such a project in the close future :) . Take care buddy .
Very true Charlie, its something I'm yet to do, I may skip over that and leap straight into designing my own 3D printed aircraft kit in the future....cheers Chris

part of the reason i constantly hop genres is to practice as many skills and techniques as i can, also helps with avoiding burnout and mojo loss.
This is exactly what I did after a 35 year break from modelling, as I didn't want to risk messing up the 1/32 spitfire weathering.
Excellent Chris. Your advice will be coming into play in the very near future. Thank you.
G'day, glad to meet you at the swap meet, hope the Tie Fighters turn up on your channel one day.

very cool. I think this is your best video yet. and Not just because my work is featured. ;)

Great video. I especially love that kit bashed plane, its so cool
Great advice.
Also if you want to really improve your building skill build a vacu-form kit.

Where can I get that star wars drop ship?
Cool, some great points. On another note, what was the music at the end?
Do I hear geese??
