I love Fez. But as someone who never learned "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" I feel that their should have been a way to decipher it without a specific cultural background
Fez is one of the games that will become indie classics, it's a timeless masterpiece with incredible attention to detail, like Outer Wilds and The Witness
11:46 Sadly for me, I somehow never heard of this apparently very well known 'The quick brown fox...' pangram. So this part of the game was just infuriating for me, and I eventually had to look it up.
Same. And the map tells you that you found all the secrets in that room after you get the chest so I just went there once and never again (until I looked it up that is)
Awesome video and analysis, I wish I could get the same closure you had but I cant bring my self to complete the game without finding the intended solution for THE puzzle. Im hopefull someday we will get it but I can only wait (and try to discover it myself!).
Awesome video man. Great quality, from the editing to the storytelling. Maybe you should cover some similar games (in the sense of secret-filled games full of that 'ah-ha!' moment), like Noita for example? Just a thought. Thanks for the content!
Fez is such a good game, i've been trying to go through all of it for a couples years now and there's still so much that i haven't discovered. This is a great video about the game.
It's nice to hear someone talk about their experience with how well a game clicked for them. Fez definitely wasn't a game that did that for me and The Witness much more had this feeling for me. Still great story telling and a great video.
Great video! If you enjoyed Fez, you might very well enjoy Tunic - after playing it, it became clear to me that it took *quite* a bit of inspiration from Fez :)
I never would've figured the language or half of the other puzzles out so its no wonder I dropped the game before properly finishing it. I downloaded a platformer and ended up with the worlds greatest puzzle game, one that was too tricky for me to figure out. It's a masterpiece, but not exactly perfect for me. I made it to New Game+ but had no chance of getting to the end. Awesome video by the way!
"Using the internet is part of the game's design" - this is the one thing i didn't like about Fez. A handful of the puzzles were just way too difficult. IMO it completely undermines the satisfaction of a puzzle game when some of the puzzles can't realistically be solved.

That's the issue with these kinds of really hands-off puzzles. I'm sorry you hadn't heard of it, that sucks man.

This is a great video about the game.
Same. I "beat" it years ago, but have never finished the map 100% through many revisits.

Great Video!
Looking forward to seeing more videos from you!
Amazing video, I love Fez, I hope to see more videos like this for other games!
Been on my wishlist for a while, I'll give it a play and come back.
What a good analysis of a game!
I love the passion man
