I don't hear that, I think it's much better than that song too. This is actually using the Motown beat, which you do sometimes hear in the 80s (at least the first half) as there was some 60s influence then.
They were popular in Norway that spring. But let's be honest: they are out of key here and there. Still they made up for it by making a good stage performance. But no chance of winning and we knew that. The final was actually held on my 30th birthday! :o)
Looking at all the songs in this contest I really think this is easily the best. There isn't another from 2000 that I think I would want to play again. Plenty of energy in the performance, maybe perfection isn't everything.
Actually I'll revise that, there was one other good song, the one from the from Sofia Mestari, which flows well. But this has such a classic powerful structure to it I think it's the best.
I really like this. There vocals aren’t *amazing* but there were plenty of worse vocals this year (Israel, Netherlands and Macedonia in particular) - but this was more than made up for by it being a catchy song and brilliant visual performance.
This is so early 2000ish and i love everything about that
19 years ago and still puts me in a good mood when it pops up ❤
This sums up the style of the year 2000, right here!
I'm 17 years olb

This is what Eurovision should still be about loving life and fun. Kick politics into touch.
Yeah, I agree. There is absolutley no loving and fun anymore. Moldova being funny is the last thing I want to see. (Joke)
One of the best songs from Norway! 🤗🇬🇷
Thank you Greece

I love this masterpiece and it should have won the Eurovision song contest
olsen brothers were a truly deserved victory one of the best winning songs in eurovision history
12 points from Germany!!!!
Good song
This sounds alike to "Walking on sunshine".
Walking on sunshine came 3 years later, so it's the other way - W o S sounds like this one. :)
@@LeiknyMoltu What on earth?? Walking on sunshine was released in 1983, a full seven years before this song.
The couplets remind me of Come on Eileen and the instrumentation reminds me of Katrina and the Waves meet the Supremes
Spot on!😊
The fact that the women is the mom of a boy in my class-

Hello la norvége de la France. J adorais cette chanson
Wow...a poppy girl band entry from the late 90's/early 2000's era...that ISN'T completely unbearable! ❤
I feel like they're channeling Bobbysox.

What happened to them? They broke up and then what?
What I have heard, Oddrun (the 3rd girl in each verse) is a dance instructor or something.
@@lindakristinekjlibraten757 Well, that makes sense. They were good at dancing at the time. Probably still are.
@@thesnesgeek Yes!!

Estonia should have won in 2000. This is very predictable and generic. We've heard it dozens of times before.
too ABBAesque
There is litterally no ABBA in this song what so ever
I wouldn’t call it ABBA-esque. It has more of a Motown feel to it, with a more than passing resemblance to Walking on Sunshine.
