- Times Square, the Empire State Building... and now Pub Choir! Who could have predicted that a couple of sheilas from Australia would be making new singing friends in the Big Apple!? New York City locals SOLD OUT the Mercury Lounge to confirm what we’ve always known: singing is for everyone.
And for our first US show, we couldn’t go past the opportunity to celebrate THE most iconic NY voice: the QUEEN from Queens, Cyndi Lauper.
This beautiful performance will have you smiling faster than a New York minute! Enjoy the work of our new friends on the other side of the globe (and their amazing accents!).

Stumbled upon these Pub Choir videos - now I am addicted. Watching all of them, and some twice. Thank you Astrid and to everyone concerned; this brings joy and tears in equal measure. I cannot imagine living in a country where music, dancing and easy living is banned. We in Australia, the USA, The UK, Ireland, Wales, European countries, NZ etc are so fortunate. Do not take this freedom lightly, it is easily lost. (from a 75 year old granny who notices so much out of kilter in the world and is sometimes fearful for my grand son)

Everytime i watch your Videos I keep thinking why people don´t do this on regular basis, like at a busstop or trainstation, the feeling to sing with or for other is great.

The perfect musical life experience
I live in a small SA village and each year around the 14th December the one guy holds a jamboree, with all the singers who want to form bands and such that come and play at his place for 3 days or so. Normally they are people we never know, but they form bands just for that event. It is a blast to hear the local talent, some of which is excellent perform their songs.
When you really want to be part of this crowd. So, you just sing on your own while watching this. Awesomely cool.

It's funny - in the most feminist country there are noticeably fewer men in the choir than at a concert in any other country. That is, women got a slightly “different” result to which the feminist businessmen pushed them: men simply avoid them.))
In other countries, there are not just more heterosexual couples in the hall (which could be interpreted as “dependence”)), no, but people of different sexes feel a sense of community better than in America. In such a wonderful field as music. And just on vacation.)
