Yes! Seeing Louis and Lestat as parents were the best. My favorite scenes are where when Louis said "what did I say?" and she responds, " don't eat cops" and Lestat smirks like "she is so my daughter" and when Lestat said " I don't like that skit" that is suck a mom thing to say. 😂
Absolutely! I love that they redid it in a way that it's its own without making it a verbatim copy of the movie. It's reminicent but since it's more close to the books, it's own thing. Bless Anne and Christopher for making sure that happened and also being respectful of the time period and the folks involved without being too vulgar or racist. It's hits the point home and also gives some comic relief where you least expect it to keep it interesting but fun as well. I'm happy the got a season two and hope they keep up the egood work till the end. I can't wait to see more episodes.

A lot of fans thought this series wasn't going to work. I was one of them. And I was very wrong. By episode 2 I was hooked. The actors have such great chemistry together, the story is fantastic, I'm so glad I gave it a chance. It's great.

The toxicity of Claudia's story. She is turned into a vampire in her childhood by lestat. She cannot grow up physically but she grows old and develops inside. Lestat brings pain on Claudia to get Louis to stay.
Daniel hit the nail on the head by describing Claudia as a Band-Aid baby. I just hate that they could have been such a fun family unit if it wasn't for the tragic circumstances of Claudia aging mentally and emotionally but not physically. Claudia kept them together and happy just a little bit longer before things started to go left again. Them cracking up at the movie theater was so wholesome.
Watching them bond is so wholesome but it makes me wonder how Louis, especially Claudia, became to hate Lestat to the point of trying to kill him and running away to Europe 💀
I mean they’ve chosen an older actress for Claudia this time… And she’s playing a 14 year old instead of a 5 year old. Originally Claudia resented Lestat once she mentally matured but hadn’t physically. So she essentially persuaded Louis to enact the murder plan. And Louis chose his daughter over Lestat. So I wonder if they’ll go down that route? I mean she’s 19 in real life. I dunno…. I know the separation of Louis and Lestat is coming, but I’m really hoping for an overall happy ending for the two 🥲

So, I'll admit I was super wrong with my early opinions about how "they're gonna destroy the story for sure". honestly, i like the way the series approached differently some aspects of the story, and the way they portrayed the "family" was bittersweet to watch. sweet because they werent just sired to each other as in the book and the movie, but they had some real fun and deep moments. and so much more bitter when things went down, my heart broke into a million pieces honestly

So, I'll admit I was super wrong with my early opinions about how "they're gonna destroy the story for sure". The three of them are very wholesome in a new Lestat-Louis-Claudia way and this video became my new comfort zone 🥺

honestly, i like the way the series approached differently some aspects of the story, and the way they portrayed the "family" was bittersweet to watch. sweet because they werent just sired to each other as in the book and the movie, but they had some real fun and deep moments. and so much more bitter when things went down, my heart broke into a million pieces honestly
