The hallucinations simply kept us on ice but this is what we needed,both of them in real time. Not at odds with each other, no lies, middle persons or misunderstandings. That embrace took a hundred pounds off of my shoulders
This scene when Lestat trembles a little when Louis comes closer really brings me to tears like what was Lestat thinking was he scared Louis might do something bad or got caught up in his emotions wanting so badly for Louis to touch him gently
@@sherrylaird4153 I noticed that, very subtle but still enough for you to realize. In the movie version it was fear. But in this case I think it was more uncertainty. They were away from each other for so long I guess he no longer knew where Louis' heart was.

Oh my, lestat remained in New Orleans, I can’t help but think it was because if Louis ever came back he would be able to find him easily and it’d be the first place he’d go looking. Lestat the immortal you are! Such a hopeless romantic 😭
The hug from Lestat to Louis at the end broke me! It was sooooo loaded with relief & solace that he once again had Louis in his arms. You could tell that he never wanted to let go. 😢❤

The final scene, the entire thing is so enthralling. But the final hugs Louis and Lestat have is eternally etched in my mind. Now made deeper by our inside informant, Rolin Jones, he says due to time constraints there were only 2 takes and he thought " this is unreal, this is perfect " but that he could feel Jacob and Sam didn't want to let go of each other. It's been a 3 year journey with them, now best friends that found love through the show" 😢 This man is determined to break my soul. Thank you Mr Jones and company, I know we're going to continue to be surprised by the exexcellent work you all deliver. #IWTV: TheVampireLestat ❤❤

@@jordanparker657 When I saw that sweet hug and Lestat's eyes closing with that feeling of peace, immediately came to my mind the final scene of the movie "Empire of the Sun", when Jim meets his parents and closes his eyes in the same way and the song "Suo Gan" echoed in my ears again. Memory being a blessing. I experienced the same feelings . There are moments in fiction that happened to be immortal. Kisses Jordan.

I’ve watched this scene repeatedly. Love how they both had that private moment with each other only. I hope they get back together some time down the road. It would be hard seeing either with someone else. Their romance was/is epic. ❤🧛🏾♂️🧛♂️

Anne Rice would have been proud of this adaptation! All she wanted was to see her vampires get the same recognition as those of Twilight and True Blood. Had Warner Bros had any brains at all…they would have delegated a committed writer(s) and would have had a hit vampire series that would have set the precedent much like Anne’s novels did for modern vampire literature.
I liked the first four episodes of season one because I was really digging the more modern spin of the story, but I almost dipped out during episode five because the story seemed to start dragging. I cut it off at about 20 minutes in and went to bed. The next night I finished that episode for lack of anything else to watch, and I'm so glad I did. I ended up binging both seasons and loving it. It's a marvelous retelling, and I think Anne Rice would be very proud. I'm just sorry she didn't live to see it.
The second season feels more slow for me and not gonna lie the lack of Lestat didn't help but they do have great moments in it and as a whole is pretty good. I'm sorry too.
His insecurities are on full blast this time around. Claudia read him straight and now after her death its like a spell he cant be released from. He lost everything that night and one way or another hoped Louis would come back or at least be happy while he tortured himself all these years. Like Armand said "yesterday, a decade from now, what's the difference to an immortal vampire?"
I was literally always team lestat!!!!!!!! I think they made him betrayed is such a bad guy when I really saw that he was like really a good guy he made his companion. He saved his companion. He did everything to make his companion happy even made the 14 year-old girl that Luis told him that he was going to regret it for the rest of his life and she was going to get older, but her mind was going to be in the body of a 14-year-old girl he was always right I was always literally watching the whole show season two I was really sad that he wasn’t in more episodes.
I think lestat expected louis to blow up at him for closure and he was hurt like here we go again. Were never going to escape this even after all this time and he wishes they could console one another, comfort one another put this behind them. So, when louis disharms him when he tells him his not there for another argument but to thank him, his surprised and really happy that they can finally talk, really talk and let everything out in the open. So he can ask some questions as well and so that they can be there for one another
Unbelievable..I recorded this episode on my DVR. I'm almost, but not really, ashamed to tell you how many times I watched it from beginning to end! Your videos are fantastic. I keep wondering what Louis was saying to Lestat at the end of this scene.

The time he saved Louis they refer to is during the trial when he made the audience say “banishment” instead of “death” as his sentencing. Armand pulled Louis in from the sun. But yes he could very well have the ability to be in the sun.
Lestat always wins! He never bets for loose! All that he does; the deal with Armand, killing Claudia, everything to bring Louie back and he get it ! He wins! I feel for Louie but I LOVE LESTAT❤

Something i notice when watching the episode and louis says all of this nice and positive things about him in lestat sort of lingers waiting for idk he thinks his going to insult him or for him to say something mean or bad when and when he stops talking his like oh that's it, I thought you were going to say a snide comment or something but when he doesnt he wants to ask but hesiates at first to ask about the day he hurt himself. He was like, is it ok to ask this? Is it appropriate or damaging? Was armand lying to mess with me? But I need to know n I need to know if your ok Its jsut something I thought because he seems completely suprised by this shift in conversation his use to being blamed, belittled and louis being mean to him because of being turned a vampire and Claudia Just a rant

I cried in this part but loved how they concluded their relationship in a positive and understanding way with true love and respect for each other
I do love the nonchalant way that Lestat sets the kid's sleeve on fire. Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson are perfectly cast. Phenomenal.
