Sam on the road do you notice a massive difference between the mk4.5 performance pack and track pack? Want the pan roof and like the idea of adjustable dampers, but wondered if you felt a difference in both in the real world? Interesting to see how many they make of these, my local dealer said Ford have close the order books for the ST at the moment!! New subscriber by the way!
It is quite a difference. The performance pack (as far as I am aware) was only available on the MK4 and offered a few features like the driving modes, larger brakes and launch control but the suspension remained the same. With the track pack in the MK4.5 you get even larger brakes, the coilover (KW) adjustable suspension along with the additional modes/launch control. I find it confusing with all the names but the track pack definitely feels more like an RS to me....it is firm on the road whereas a standard focus or a performance pack focus has softer suspension which you can also adjust on the move. Whereas the track pack you have to manually get underneath the car so its best to find a setting you like for your driving and have it set. I can recommend both but the track pack is definitely more hardcore and ideal also for the track. I would say it is worth test driving both as it is a very subjective thing from person to person. Thank you for subscribing and commenting btw 👍
I checked on the PDF and I cannot see the full details on this. Multilink is normally more expensive so should be available on the higher trim level models. If I hear anything more ill come back to this comment but in the mean time it is worth checking with your dealer to be safe 👍
@@SamAustin ok, and can you see for mk4 that have multilink? they supposedly installed them until 5 months 2019, but I don't know which focus models they continued to install? I can't find that information
Yes and I would imagine the MK4 ST Edition may well come down in price further on the used market given the announcement of this model. It could be a good time to get into one. Also the PCP deals for MK4 ST Editions would likely be ending and those customer may well be looking to upgrade to the MK4.5 ST Edition which may result in more MK4 ST Editions available on the used market. Exciting times I think even if there is no sign of an RS 🎉
I have had 3 performance ford's focus st3 estate / 2 mk3 focus rs editions I have a vw transporter sportline black edition kombi at the moment it might go now for the st edition 😂 thanks for the post 👌
Ah that is a great set of fast fords! No worries at all and well worth thinking about it....I imagine they will only produce 300 similar to the MK4 but we will have to wait and see for more details on that 👍
I am dissapointed. It is the same car like 4.5 track pack and same HP from 2020. Why they cant go 4x4 and maybe a little bit more HP, like 320 or 330 just to be some improvements. Not worth it, go for mk4 st edition which is a lot cheaper and probably better in quality. Just my opinion
its worth buy ST x Edition ?????

Does any model in the redesign (1.5, 2.0/diesel, gasoline) have multilink?

Because they have to do a complete new homologation for an enormous amount of money...
Don’t forget about the road tax on a £40K+ car.
Cost me £560 a year on my Kuga as the list price was over £40,000😳
I got a 7% discount on my forthcoming ST through Carwow. I wonder if Ltd run vehicles will get any discount? Will look great in blue.😊
I think there will be deals to be had. Ford are normally good at that 👍
