- Whilst volunteering in Nepal, I have had the pleasure of being hosted by a wonderful Nepali family. In this video I got shown what a local supermarket is like. I also attended a special celebration called Maghe Sankrati Festival. Ending the video being shown how to make home-made Nepali momos - my favourite Nepali dish.

Justina, you have no idea how much I love your Nepalese style! The clothes, hat, scarf - this is so cool! I got interested in the otrich meat - never tried so maybe it is a goo reason to move ass and visit Cathmandu 😉
But seriously: I really admire Nepalese people who live in such difficult conditions in so poor country but they still smile a lot and know what is most important in life - family, tradition, simplicity and being close to the nature. Thank you very very much for this video. I hope this is not the last one from Cathmandu - I count on more 🙂 🧡🧡🧡 P.S. warm greetinz to you and Micha !!!
Awww, Lukasz! Your comments are always so lovely to read! Yes, Nepalese people are so simple and humble, I would easily live in that country but only in summer because it’s a little too cold for my liking in winter ( especially in the evenings and night time ) There’s gonna be more videos from NEPAL coming your way!
@@BeerForBreakfast More videos from Nepal? Great news ! Thanks ! Take care you both ;-)
Really enjoyed the supermarket & glad that the 😷 mandate just ended where I live in the 🇺🇸. Enjoy the crisps 😋
Hey there, buddy! Thanks so much for your comment! Would you like to travel around Nepal? :)
@@BeerForBreakfast The people seem pretty chill but don't care for their neighbors from India much.
Thanks for visiting Nepal. Much love from Nepal ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
FYI, for those interested, the economic blockade he's talking about happened just after the devastating earthquake in 2015. And it wasn't because of import laws change, there's some misunderstanding. It was because we promulgated our constitution. Which btw was completely drafted by the elected people's representative. But India had warned us beforehand that some of their demands were to be met in it. Our leaders finally united and showed some balls. So, they did what they've always done. And the big western media never rallied up for us. As India is now seen as an ally to the USA.
But hey, we stood by our leaders as one country and it backfired big time to India.
Thanks for your great explanation, Gaurav 🙏🏼

@@BeerForBreakfast i am also fine .where r u from ?
Very interesting vlog! Those momos look so delicious. They remind me of Chinese dumplings or Japanese gyozas. May I have some more momos please? Lol! 🥟🥟😊
Momo is Tibetan dumpling and which is also from China I guess hundreds years a go, in Nepal Tibetan refugee introduced Momo and Thukpa ( Tibetan Noodle) Chowmein ( Fried noodle) etc since early 1960s, recently Lhaping ( New dish) came to Nepal from Tibet,
@@joededen7952 That's very interesting. Thanks for sharing! 😊👍
@@joededen7952 in Nepal a huge chunk of the population live in the upper reaches of the Himalayas and even beyond, these nepalese ppl like Tamangs or Sherpas have been eating momo , thukpa , tenthuk , etc for centuries. So its not all due to the influx of the Tibetans post the Chinese invasion
@@68segayo1
you don’t know anything about Tibetan food, even Thenthuk is from Amdo Tibet which is northeast Tibet how come it’s Tammany or Sherpa’s food 😂😂😂😂😂
By the way, Sherpa peoples is Tibetan ethnic they speak Tibetan language not the Nepalese but they are Nepalese citizens,
@@68segayo1
Tamang people never eat Momos and thukpa, but Sherpa and Mustangi those peoples eat Tibetan food coz they are Tibetan ethnic and Nepalese citizen,
Hi its very nice
Hey! I really appreciate your comment!
❤❤
They are from " Chuchey " ethnic group of Nepal. 😳😳😳
Can we make same momo in vegetarian? It looks soo delicious…
You definitely can! 😊
Hey you know momo name which country Cousine
Where you from?
I am from LITHUANIA
Definitely chinese dumplings lol
But that's not the right way to make a momo 🤣🤣🤣
What’s the right way then?
please write MOMO NOT momos.
What's wrong with momos?
@@BeerForBreakfast we nepalese pronounce it as MOMO which is it’s original name, whereas Momos are mostly used by indians.
That's not how you make momo by the way 🤣🤣
Oh really? Why do you say that?
