The last front engined V12 Lamborghini GT was the Jarama’s sibling, the Espada which ended production in 1978, two years after Jarama production ended.
What a nice triple surprise here ! Discovering a new quality car enthusiast channel, a charming and professional presenter , and this futuristic uber-rare and beautiful orange Jarama S with Torquelift. Extremely cool !
Interesting and informative, but missing one thing. She needs to take it for a drive and open it up, and let us see it perform and hear that V12! BTW I love the color. She is right. Nobody can pull off that orange like Lamborghini. Road & Track did an article many years ago where the auto journalist took a Miura SV for a cruise through the Pyrenees Mountains of Spain (I think). It was that exact same shade of orange with a mustard brown leather interior, and gold colored magnesium Campagnolo rims. It was the most beautiful color combination I think I've ever seen in a Miura! Definitely on my bucket list of cars I'd love to own.
Awesome video as always, you don't see a lot of Jarama's around these days, but I'm eagerly awaiting a video with the Espada I keep seeing in the background...... Youre a great presenter, you've really found your feet with your prestation style, I really dig it!!
Your videos are getting better and more informative all the time, Colleen! This Lambo may be an automatic, but remember it's not just "any" automatic; it's a Chrysler TorqueFlite!
This video is dope. Great quality and flow. I just saw one of these for sale recently and had no idea what it was. Keep it up, good to see real automotive content on here again.
In Italian and Spanish "J" is pronounced like a "Y". Just thought you should know. I've been a big fan of this model since seeing pictures of it in the 80's. I hope that the fact that this is a rare automatic makes a seller be able to charge a premium for it. I once saw a automatic Espada for sale too. I used to have a poster in my bedroom of all the Lamborghini's up to the 25th Anniversary Countach. The Silhouette is my favorite Lambo. Thanks.
Slightly disappointed you didn't show how those weird headlights work (for anyone else curious the covers rotate down) or get to properly hear the engine.
Yes Colleen, please redo this video for us with the RIGHT sights and sounds (working lights and engine). THIS is why we subscribe to your channel and watch you. Please don't skimp on us. Best wishes and looking forward to the full video.
The thing about Lamborghini is that they've just managed to get it "right." Their cars are uncompromising and unapologetic. They can be difficult to work on and tune properly but there's just nothing like one. They are kind of like flying on or just even seeing a 747 in that it's something you never forget.
With new cars and concepts like the Jarama, Ferruccio himself would literally wine and dine his closest customers while his engineers took the car down to the bare frame on the first service. He would distract them with wine and theater until the early hours of the morning to buy his engineers time to reassemble and identify and fix stress points on the new chassis all through the night. He was basically doing what Tesla is doing now buying senators, except he was bribing his own customers to be his test pilots. The fact that he was a tall dark haired handsome man with serious business spectacles helped his cause, but it seems a more honorable strategy.
I don't think that's quite true about pulling the cars apart. Bob did more than exhaustive tests on the car before it was made for the public. The Experience shop was the customers factory service garage and that's where the cars were left for their scheduled servicing. Stripping it down to a bare chassis over night is just fable.
Really grear presentation as always. I'm disappointed your Subscibers are so low. Keep working hard and I'm sure they'll improve. Love your Ferrari 308 series! For a second there I thought you were going to review a Lamborghini Miura SV. 😆 There's a lucky guy who lives near me who has a line green Miura SV. A very informative and interesting review.
'Know JARAMA!' Knowledge is E V E R T H I N G. I was the first curator of THE FOX Collection in the '80s___l've been educated tonight! Thank you Miss Colleen!
Never heard of nor I have I seen this model. Not super knowledgeable about Lamborghini but have been around for 38 years so far and figured as a car guy that naturally I would've heard about or at least seen a pic of this car at some point, but nope. Crazy. I get why it wasn't popular but not sure why this is the first time I've heard anything about it.
I am so lucky to live in Europe, where we can admire the original, not US-security mania damaged, design of classical cars! These monster-indicator-lights! Even more dramatically with classical mercedes.
Doug Demuro called this car ugly and I ABSOLUTELY don't get him, usually I agree with him, but in this case... It's one of my favourite car in terms of looks, ever
The TorqueFlight 727 trans is a good one. I hate autos. I have seen 800+hp(old, IE, real) Challengers utilize that tranny in mostly stock form. Less than 400hp should be no problem. Most of those were bolted to heavy trucks and campers with huge payloads and gave years of great service. Interesting car. One of the few Lamborghinis I found unattractive. The Miura is the sweet one in my eyes.
What a shame. I was going to call to make an offer on it.... then I saw the auto trans. They only made 10 because no one in their right mind wants an auto
Actually, GT is more desirable. GTS has no added performance. The original destined is ruined by scoop and is heavier. Your picture of GTS showed a GT with no hood scoop. Automatic is the worst.
@inductionrecords Ferruccio LAMBORGHINI ♉🐂 sold close to half his company by 1973, due to the oil crisis. The new owners cut cost by phasing out the front engine V12 models, launching the Countach by 1974 and the V8 model Silhouette (Formerly the URRACO, it cost less).
I have just discovered this channel and am dumbfounded by the quality of the presentation and quality. Great stuff guys
Thank you!
She is bot really a car enthusiast

An unappreciated classic, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think it’s gorgeous. As always a great video 👍🏻

Right off the bat, the mispronunciation made me think she doesn't know what she's talking about. meh
@@johnandrews3568Aw, that's just SACRILEGE❗No she did NOT🚭❗ pronounce the GREAT Marcello Gandinis' name: Mar- SELL-O❗It's pronounced Mar CHELL-O❗
It is not "Yarama" but "Harama" in english. Like "house", "home", "hit" but stronger.

I’m sorry but the best thing about this is the sound of the V12. A video without that or the drive???
I love this car… but especially seeing in Cali!
Eye opener. Never come across this model before.
I have always loved these, and that orange colour really suits it and I love the interior too, super cool 😎
I was waiting your review of " The Jarama" , it's a weird lambo but , i love it!
How Works the headlight flasher?
Pop it quickly down ?
Thanks
Great channel , can't believe only 16K subscribers !
My favorite Lambo. Dad had a 400 GT. Never knew about the automatic.

What a lovely car in an awesome colour. The Golf GTi before the Golf GTi was invented.
Great video. Well done.
It ain't a car review if you don't rev the engine...
Thanks for the video as a past Countach 5000QV owner, I now look for less flamboyant cars and the Jarama fits the bill!
Thanks :D

Nice price too !! Ill be down to check it out.
Front on these (with the lights up) looks a lot like the triumph 2000/2500 MK1

Are those 240Z taillights? Somehow it looks very similar for me.

Love to own this baby!

With an H sound as in San Jose.
when in Mexico maybe, down in Italy it's "yarama"

Doug Demuro is simply an idiot. He wouldn't know an engine dip stick from his dick. He is an authority on nothing.
La Lamborghini Jarama mi è sempre piaciuta tantissimo come la Countach perché la ritengo originalissima. Auto per intenditori

How did Lamborghini not immediately cancel the Jarama when the Countach LP400 came out?
