so happy to see that there are more and more fantastic uploads to discover of this really fantastic singer and most wonderful man. My Hero : Mr J. Vincent Edwards.
I love this song and didn't become familiar with it here in the US until I heard Maxine Nightengale's version. What a shame that neither version became a hit here. (Lack of air play and lack of club play). I hope both versions did better in the UK than they did in the US. It's a shame that so many people never heard it.
Maxine Nightingales ' Right back where we started from' and J.Vincent Edwards 'Love Hit Me' are indeed similar but.... different songs both written by Mr Edwards .
thank you and I think that no matter which artist you listen to Maxine Nightingale or j Vincent Edward they are both great and each gives a depth and great talent and warmth to the song
Thanks for the response. This was always the type of music I loved back in my teens. Sorry I never heard this when it was out. :-) I'm guessing you're from the UK?
Aye? Magic! Them's the boys. Good enough for the TURN an the Fab Four -(although only Ringo turned up for our pigeon tweakers and curry throwing night, but still belted out a few mind..kept his jacket on till after nine pm and all, best of order all round) then it's good enough for our club. By the way...did they eventually get rid of that old carpet at Whitley? Bit sticky by the bar it was..could take yer ten minutes to get to the bog if you hit it. Mind you, helped keep some folk upright after fifteen or so :) - just asking like :) Hope you're well lad :)
