@@thetravelingbibliophile No, thery're a series of books for authors. There's an emotional traits one, physical traits, negative traits... incredibly helpful when it comes to describing your characters!

Keep going. I’m your latest subscriber and I too have issues with finding my routine to write, so I will send you positive vibes and maybe both of us can get more work done. 7:37

As someone who is always giving myself deadlines and then having to push them back when I fail to meet them, this video was super relatable! It can be disappointing to fall short of your goal, but I always have to remind myself that showing up at the page is the most important thing. I think you really articulated something important when you said, "that's not always possible when you're working with words." We are so quick to think that we can just bang out however many words in a week, when in reality language is a slippery thing, and writing a novel isn't an assembly line. Anyway, I hope you give yourself grace! Really enjoying your writing vlogs :)

Thanks Laura, and so true. Writing a novel isn't an assembly line indeed, I'll keep these words as a reminder whenever I start stressing over deadlines again.

Just binged all your videos. I love your filming style! As a fellow aspiring author, I wish you all the best in your writing journey. I’m almost finished with the first draft of my second book atm.
Right now I’m not setting word count goals for myself; I’m just trying to write every work day, or five days a week. It’s been working pretty well over the last couple of months.
    Congrats on getting an agent!
Also, can I ask what genre/age category you’re writing in? 🤍
