Governments in their base form are meant to "help" their citizens not dictate what they should or should not do at the bequest of the globalists. Governments should be servants of the people not tyrants. Unfortunately we can't even say that about our local councils let alone our State and Federal governments. Every politician should have to prove how they personally help citizenry with their problems and if they do not reach a specific threshold should be disqualified from running in the next election cycle. This would mean shedding ourselves of political parties for good and having a government based on the individual efforts of those privileged enough to be voted for by the people into such positions of power.

The UK Prime Minister tried to negotiate with the EU on the lead up to the Brexit vote, if there had been an oppertune moment to stop Brexit that was it.
Instead of dealing with Cameron the EU sent him home with a flea in his ear and then they were surprised at the result of the vote?
(I did mention that my country was taken into the EU without even giving the people a vote on it - undemocratic.)
What system am I proposing that is worse than the EU?
I mentioned the EEC which was a great system. It was a free trade area - it worked. Europe did not not need the EU with all that bagage that went with it.
From the Institute for the Study of Civil Society:
Where the EU fails to be democratic
The idea that the EU suffers from a democratic deficit is widely supported in academic circles. One cause of this
complaint is that the EU appears too distant from its citizens. It is considered too complicated for the citizens to be
sufficiently involved in its decision-making and a lack of transparency and education prevents them from
understanding the nature of the EU and how they can influence it. Although the Lisbon Treaty improves transparency,
the introduction of the Citizens’ Initiative is not expected to be effective enough to improve the relationship between
the EU and its citizens, as it is unlikely that many citizens will be aware of the opportunity that it provides.
Secondly, the powers of the EP, as the only directly elected EU institution, are weaker than those of other institutions.
The EP is unable to propose legislation and only has the power to propose amendments to laws. Elections for the EP
also suffer from a low turnout (in the UK only 35.6% of people voted in the 2014 EP election), so many citizens are not
accepting the opportunity to influence decision-making. In addition, those who do vote tend to vote more on the basis
of their opinions on national issues rather than European issues, due in part to a feeling of distance from the workings
      of the EU.
Thirdly, the European Commission is an entirely appointed institution, not democratically elected, and it has the
monopoly of proposing laws: there is no competition over who has political authority and sets the agenda at the
European level. EU citizens do not get a choice over who is part of this powerful body, and the Commission is only
accountable to the European Parliament in its entirety: individual Commissioners who are performing badly cannot be
sacked. The Commission lacks legitimacy: it is much too powerful for an institution that is not democratically
representative of the EU citizens or accountable to them.

Cameron got almost everything he asked for in the negotiations leading up to brexit. You need better sources because someone is lying to you. Look it up. It's not me.
If your country was taken into the EEC/EU without a vote or mandate from the voters, that's on your government. That's not a fault of the EU.
The EEC was a great start, but it wasn't enough. Increasing trade meant more integration was needed, which required governance. That's the EU for you. There's a reason the EU is the best free trade area in the world.
I agree with you that more education is needed on how the EU works, actually. The Lisbon treaty did increase transparency and I'm all for extending and making the Citizens' Initiative more effective. I'm sure there's more that can be done.
Low voter turnout for the EP vote can hopefully be addressed by education as mentioned. However it's important to realise that it's very country specific. Yeah, it was very low in the UK, but it's around 90% in Belgium, 60% in Germany & Spain and 50% in France & Italy.
The commission is selected/elected by elected representatives. Only those on the political fringes has a problem with the setup. There are things that needs fixing in the EU, but this isn't one of them.

We the British people that voted for Brexit, and yet our politicians
    Are still accepting policies from
The EU ! We still have our own
Democracy and we still have our
    Own sovereignty!
So why are our politicians still being dictated to by Brussels
To follow their proposals and policies!
The EU should have no input in our democracy and that includes
The WHO and their pandemic treaty! We voted Brexit to keep our independence and retain our
    Sovereignty.

And WHY does the EU want this? Well they aren't wanting those countries to thrive are they, nor are they protecting the populations, so they should explain this policy. Basically why countries
still remain in the EU is a real mystery, they need new leadership and fast.
