your channel is so good I swear you're the best youtuber, I learned Japanese basics and I can understand you because you speak slowly and your content is sooo interesting. Whenever I don't understand something, I just turn on the subtitles for a few seconds then I turn them off, and you put some english on your video on the difficult words. Huge THANK YOU !!!!
My motivation is pure, unadulterated spite. I was told you had to be born with a gift to learn languages to get even remotely good at a second language, and that I'd never be good at English. So I became fluent. I'm planning to become fluent in at least 3 more languages, just to rub salt in the wound.
You show 'em who's got the last laugh! It's absolute BS that you'd hae to be born a certain way to learn languages. I've struggled with learning Japanese, but I barely struggled to learn English since my childhood and I'm able to speak it fluently.
omg yes, none of the people I know speak more that 2-3 languages (B1+) but I've already know 4 (2 of them completely self learnt, and 3 more OTW)the only person that I know that knows more than 2 is my sister XD

I don't have a lot of motivation for studying japanese. Just the pleasure of understanding a little more each day. I also have no discipline, and no habits. I have another thing. I have FUN. I'm having fun watching this video. I understood almost everything. I have fun reading a little manga in Japanese (with furigana, and I read manga when I've already watched the shows, so I already understand the story). I learn songs because I have fun doing it. I watch japanese shows paying attention to the dialogues, because that's fun for me. When I stop having fun, I stop. I'm not the quickest learner, but I haven't suffered at all. That's my humble advice. Try to find things for which you need no motivation or discipline at all. Things you get drawn to because you're actually enjoying. Then you won't stop.
I'm not quite sure I agree with that. Maybe it works for you, but even with the things I love more than anything else, I do still need discipline and motivation to meet my goals. I could study Japanese just whenever I want to, but it would take so long to get anywhere that I'd probably give up in the middle. ^^;; I think realistic goals, discipline, and motive are the three most important things. You need a strong reason to learn a language (such as just simply loving the language), plus some good goals i.e "I'll learn ten words every week" and then discipline, which usually comes in the form of a good habit i.e "I'll review my flashcard deck every day." That's how you remain a pretty quick learner without suffering, at least in my experience. I wish you luck though!
@@user-kl3pl1gf7x well, MOST language learning in the world, by far, occurs without discipline. It's done by children, who just need to understand and communicate. Well, I have a pleasure of understanding more and more. That's how I learned English as well. I found pleasure in understanding books, songs and movies. I actually never ever speak English. I just read and listen to it a lot, and I write a little.
I understand what you are saying, that if you are unable to be a disciplined person you use the fun to make you learn, like when you cant convince a child to do something speaking but if you offer some candy they do it immediately, so in theory if you never stop feeding the child with candies they will never stop doing what you say. But we thats not how it works. Ideally you should have BOTH discipline and fun, because if you are getting bored, lazy and even with all your determination you cant stand reading one more page of the textbook then try something else that is fun, to keep you engaged. However you can't rely on that to get things done forever and that were disciple takes place, the nearly unstoppable force of habit, built with patient and time, like muscles in a gym. If one fails the other is there, like a couple of Gigachad and ... Female Gigachad.😂😂😂
@@facundocesa4931 Yeah, children absolutely need to learn their native tongue in order to live their lives and are surrounded by that language and constantly being interacted with in that language, so it's easier to learn. They NEED to learn it, whereas most of the time no one needs to learn a second/third/non-native language. They just WANT to. What you're talking about is immersion which is a really good way to learn a language, especially English since so much content is in English. But for, say, someone who speaks English natively and is learning Japanese... Technically there aren't many reasons you'd have to learn Japanese, and it's hard to find opportunities to use the language when you live outside of Japan. That's where discipline comes in; and it's especially important in the beginner stage of learning, because beginners cannot really have fun consuming content in a different language when they don't understand a single thing. For example, I created this account イフェラ with the interest of only consuming Japanese or Japanese -related content with it. English is easier for me to understand than Japanese, so my natural tendency is to watch English videos because I can follow along easier -- but I have discipline, so I watch mostly Japanese videos. This is what allows me to improve enough that I can enjoy more and more content in Japanese, and without discipline, I would have given up before I ever got the chance to enjoy it.
In my case, I stay motivated because I feel enormous frustration listening to music in Japanese and not understanding anything. Also when I study Japanese I feel nice on my chest and I like that feeling
I used to feel stagnant when learning Japanese because I tried to do everything simultaneously (listening, speaking, writing). Nowadays, my daily Japanese practice is just listening to podcasts and jotting down words I don't understand. I might not learn much in a day but it is sufficient for me to remember and understand them. I'm a very slow learner and when I see people being able to speak Japanese fluently in a short period, it gets me really demotivated. However, I've come to a realization that I'm not competing but learning. Reminding me this makes me enjoy the learning process a little more and go easy on myself.
Agreed! I was the same way, burning myself out by trying to learn everything at once. It's really exhausting to put 100% effort into learning everything you possibly can, every single day. I think if you spend enough time listening to podcasts and learning new words, you'll absorb a lot of other things (like pitch accent and grammar rules) naturally, and you'll be fluent in no time! You might want to consider keeping a Japanese audio diary or finding a Japanese friend to call, though. I learned the hard way that even if you have great listening comprehension and understand pitch accent, proper grammar, etc., you can still really struggle to actually speak in the language. :'D
The strongest motivation for me in learning Japanese is the feeling that I received a secret, mysterious knowledge. I also want to read the scientific literature of this country.
Two things keep me motivated at the moment.. one is my father who always was proud of me that I have been studying a so hard language.. another one is that the company, in which I have been working, opened a new office in Japan... so I'm praying silently that maybe one day I will be able to visit it... 😁
Originally my motivation for learning Japanese was to be able to play a certain video game in Japanese. I picked it up last time I was in Japan and brought it home... and found out it was English dubbed all along 😂
this kinda strengthened my motivation behind wanting to learn japanese (I haven’t started yet but I’m planning to do so next month), it’s basically 3 things: 1) fulfilling a long-time dream I’ve had, I’ve been interested in learning japanese since I was a teenager (I’m 26 rn), 2) wanting to understand more about the culture through language (which is connected to #1 since I’ve been interested on it since younger), 3) and more recently, to understand japanese media in general since I like some celebrities lol... and I’m also interested on getting into j-music and entertainment so I’d love to be able to consume content without depending on someone else to translate it.

My motivation to keep going is a bit corny. I was going through some really tough times, and the song "やめるなら今" by Higuchi Ai which kinda snapped me out of it. My hope is to one day be able to write to her and thank her in Japanese.
My only motivation is to travel to Japan one day. Japanese is one of the most difficult languages there are so every bit of understanding I gain is very rewarding by itself

My first reason I started learning Japanese was I was addicted to manga wasn't translated into my language. So I tried translate it myself (just for me, to understand the story). And after first try I decided to learn Japanese because it interested me and was completely different from the languages I had learned before😅 I think it's a little bit strange method of motivation, but when I think someday I'll be able to read without translators and dictionary... It gives me strength and desire to learn💪 But, of course, this is not my only method of motivation, it's just the most effective for me now :)
I just took the MEXT scholarship tests and interview, and if everything goes well I will go to Japan to study. By visualizing that, I stay motivated. Thank you so much for your videos. You are my favorite youtuber!!
For me I have several motivations. First I want to travel to Japan one day to visit and second I watch a lot of anime in Japanese with subtitles and would like to be able to understand more what the characters are saying. I've picked up on some words and phrases just by watching anime but I also realize I have to be careful because real life Japanese and anime Japanese are different from the way its spoke.
The one thing that keeps me motivated is being able to play these vast amount of untranslated Otome Games. It’s hard staying motivated when I have no time to play tho, so I always try to find something to read while being busy with school.
Honestly, and it's not just being educated, your videos are a huge motivation. Just take it. I think that without discipline no way to just base the whole studying on motivation. Even if you can do just two words a day, you establish the discipline that helps you move forward.
I'm stuck in a limbo between beginner and intermediate. That kind of level where you just have to force yourself to immerse into media content, read manga, books and listen to as much native content as possible. But doing all of that, especially listening, is so difficult because I get distracted so easily when I barely understand something, and other times I just get plain bored.
my newest motivation is the japanese exchange students who are visiting my school and class in a couple months, I want to become better at conversational japanese so I can speak to them

originally, i was bored during the pandemic lockdowns, so i went on duolingo and went "japanese seems interesting" I didn't really find my motivation until I started reading manga, i started reading ace of diamond which (until recently) didn't really have an official english translation. I had watched the anime and instead of waiting for a 4th season ,i started reading the manga and now I have all of the physical volumes (only available in japanese) for the entire 1st act. I can't stop learning now, or else I'll have nearly 50 books i can't read lol Also, I started college this year and found a japanese language learner club and that helps a lot, since now I get to practice having conversations with other people :D

My motivation to learn Japanese is because I have a "platonic love" for a Japanese voice actor 🥰 (lol) and I want to understand what he says (for example in interviews or radio shows) a little better, but not only for that I learn Japanese, it's also because I've made friends with several Japanese girls and I'm currently enrolled in a Japanese association and I like to interact with the Japanese people in charge of that association 😊✨ But in addition to that, one of the requirements to graduate from the degree I'm currently studying is to speak and have knowledge of two languages, fluent English and some other language at an intermediate level (there are two languages you can opt for, French or Japanese) and I opted to continue learning Japanese (I started learning Japanese before I entered university), so that's also a motivation to continue learning Japanese ✨
My main motivation is that I want to watch a geisha performance and understand what the music is saying. I really want to see kitano odori, kyo odori, miyako no nigiwai, and gion odori. Another thing is that I really want to study medicine in Japan.
I mainly watch your videos to try reading the Japanese captions, so I’m basically trying to hear pronunciations of kanji and if I can’t fully understand every syllable of the said kanji then I tell myself “I’ll figure it out eventually” Right now I’m learning Japanese similar to how a toddler would learn words and what they mean, I watch Japanese RUclipsrs, they say a particular sentence I want to use at some point, I listen closely to try understanding every word said and repeat it a few times until I’m confident I’ll remember that sentence A few words and phrases I learned while using that strategy 入りたくない I don’t want to enter 来て come here ボニー、優しい心を持っている、僕のお父さんい同じている (I randomly thought of saying this sentence when I was playing a horror game on rec room which is a knock-off version of The Joy of Creation, I don’t think you know much about it but you can research about that game if you want, it’s a FNAF fan game is all I’m gonna say, the horror game on rec room was called “Ignited Bonnie” I believe and when I said that sentence I was in a corner and there were two hallways on my left and right, I was facing diagonally to the corner of a wall, I was hearing Bonnie’s footsteps from the left hall and I said 「ボニー、優しい心を持っている、僕のお父さんに同じている」 a second after that I saw him charging at me full sprint so I ran through the right hall and right before to caught up to me and killed me I shouted 「あんたの赤目目はきも」if you English speakers are wondering what I said “your red eyes are cringe” and the other sentence “Bonnie, you have a kind heart, it’s just like my dad” I said that because Bonnie’s endoskeleton chest was exposed and had no heart and also the joke of your dad leaving to go buy something or go somewhere and hasn’t returned in years or decades, I don’t think the dad leaving and never returning joke is a big thing in Japan so a lot of Japanese people would be confused if you made those jokes, I basically said something usually sarcastic in English but said in Japanese which doesn’t have a whole lot of sarcasm, not saying Japanese never has sarcasm, they do, just not as much as English, so you wouldn’t sarcastically say “perfect, just great” in an inconvenient situation, in Japanese, you’d pretty much say “this is bad” or anything along those lines in any bad situation)
One more day of hoping for the "Hola" in the initial greeting 😭 (Also, I started language classes in March to help with consistency since I'm not very self-motivated and I'm so glad I can understand a lot more without reading subtitles -or using the JP subtitles-).
I am 37 and go to the university to learn Japanese. I take out my camera and record my speech with my native Japanese teachers. I go out and find Japanese people to practice even more. Create your own instrinsic motivation. Believe yourself. That is all there is to it. Period.
Motivation is very important, I tried to learn French, even if the lessons were very easy I don’t have motivation and I end giving up but I have very motivation to lear Japanese and I cried every kanji lesson but I love it and I learn more Japanese in 3 months that French in a year
I agree with the karaage person. Not that karaage is hard to get/make, but the feeling of accomplishment of learning a language I love and eventually moving to a country (fingers crossed) that's more suited for me, all by my own efforts... picturing that right there is a huge motivation. It helps that I am having trouble digesting our own cuisine as I grow older (too spicy for me) and Japanese cuisine might just let me survive lol. It also helps that Japanese is the sweetest sounding language of all languages I have heard, and the only way I get exposure to it is when I actively learn. My mother tongue sounds ROUGH, like someone is constantly swearing at you. English sounds meh and I had to learn it against my will anyway.

My motivation is because I want to travel to Japan, and being able to speak with the natives. Also because I watch anime, and I love the language and the culture. In my opinion if you love the culture of a country, it's easier and funnier to keep learning. Also, on some days it's really hard to keep learning, keep your motivation high, there might be worse days, but it's really worth it once you reach your destination! And the process, the journey which makes it so worth it and fun.

I already speak 3 languages on fluent level, but my dream, is to become a physic scientist in Japan, on CERNish places, where I can make some discoveries in elementary physics, as Peter Higgs and many others did
Some of my own thoughts about motivation: 1. JLPT would be a total waste of money. I don't even have any English related certificates because I simply don't need them at all. 2. I don't actively learn any kanji at all. I mostly use OCR and learn them passively when I encounter them enough number of times. 3. I have less than 0 motivation to study and use keigo. It's simply not in my style. 4. Before graduating from the university I could relatively easily get a good passing mark on Japanese subject to increase my overall grades' avarage. 5. After learning Japanese for so many years at this point I can't get myself to stop anymore ;)
I love learning languages and I find it interesting and I have the ability to memorize so that I do not need to repeat more than once easily, but I am bad at learning to write😅😂 Nice idea to participate in learning in a more motivating way🤟❤️☺️
The first guy about how I had no motivation but still remember stuff was me when I was studying dentistry for 3 years until I realized I had no real interest in it and I was doing it for the sake of my family XD Then I dropped out and took psychology. I'm learning Japanese because I was jealous of my friend who can speak japanese well eventhough he didn't learn at all and also because now I can speak to Japanese people through vrchat easily to practise. also I picked up some japanese while watching little anime so might as well just learn how to have conversations.
I learn Japanese because I want to talk in Japanese in my Japan Holidays. And because I’m interested in Japan and it’s culture. Therefore I „visit“ a language course. My problem is that I don’t have that much time. Therefore I need someone who keep my motivation on a high level.
I’m learning the language on my own and I have good motivation but am struggling on WHAT I should be studying and when exactly… Like I know flash cards work well for me (but I’m not great with anki yet) but I’m not quite sure how or when to learn grammar and how to KNOW if the way I’m trying to learn is actually EFFECTIVE :( Anyone have any recommendations for a good program to use or “class” to sign up for or app? l am brazillian and l am study japanese with very frequence, but my motivation is very good, l like japanese writing is very cool and very funny! and l like japanese art, and l use japanese write ln my draws what help in my studys of japanese : D
I'd say I am not motivated I just set myself the goal to study or immerse for 1h a day and just do that. I mostly have no motivation to that one hour so I do it in the morning to have it done for the day.
Now that I think about it, I think my biggest motivation is when I have a crush on a Japanese celebrity 🤣 大学の時、十年前ぐらい、花ざかりの君たちへ～イケメンパラダイスを見たら、斗真さんが好きになっていました。二年前、日本語の音楽を聴きながら、サカナクションの一郎さんを見つかったら…おい、また日本語を勉強し始めたいです！ ぜひ、彼と話したいんです。多分他の人と話しているもいいかもしれません。

Two things keep me motivated at the moment.. one is my father who always was proud of me that I have been studying a so hard language.. another one is that the company, in which I have been working, opened a new office in Japan... so I'm praying silently that maybe one day I will be able to visit it... 😁

Originally my motivation for learning Japanese was to be able to play a certain video game in Japanese. I picked it up last time I was in Japan and brought it home... and found out it was English dubbed all along 😂
I just straight up switch the language of an English game to Japanese if Japanese is an option
this kinda strengthened my motivation behind wanting to learn japanese (I haven’t started yet but I’m planning to do so next month), it’s basically 3 things:
1) fulfilling a long-time dream I’ve had, I’ve been interested in learning japanese since I was a teenager (I’m 26 rn),
2) wanting to understand more about the culture through language (which is connected to #1 since I’ve been interested on it since younger),
3) and more recently, to understand japanese media in general since I like some celebrities lol... and I’m also interested on getting into j-music and entertainment so I’d love to be able to consume content without depending on someone else to translate it.
I’m looking forward to the time I can watch your videos without subtitles 🥰 my motivation is the fact that I love so many things about Japan and the Japanese language.
My motivation to keep going is a bit corny.
I was going through some really tough times, and the song "やめるなら今" by Higuchi Ai which kinda snapped me out of it. My hope is to one day be able to write to her and thank her in Japanese.

My only motivation is to travel to Japan one day. Japanese is one of the most difficult languages there are so every bit of understanding I gain is very rewarding by itself

My first reason I started learning Japanese was I was addicted to manga wasn't translated into my language. So I tried translate it myself (just for me, to understand the story). And after first try I decided to learn Japanese because it interested me and was completely different from the languages I had learned before😅
I think it's a little bit strange method of motivation, but when I think someday I'll be able to read without translators and dictionary... It gives me strength and desire to learn💪
But, of course, this is not my only method of motivation, it's just the most effective for me now :)

A guy who knows all the train timetables is the hero we need, but the hero we don't deserve.
For me I have several motivations. First I want to travel to Japan one day to visit and second I watch a lot of anime in Japanese with subtitles and would like to be able to understand more what the characters are saying. I've picked up on some words and phrases just by watching anime but I also realize I have to be careful because real life Japanese and anime Japanese are different from the way its spoke.
The one thing that keeps me motivated is being able to play these vast amount of untranslated Otome Games. It’s hard staying motivated when I have no time to play tho, so I always try to find something to read while being busy with school.
Honestly, and it's not just being educated, your videos are a huge motivation. Just take it.
I think that without discipline no way to just base the whole studying on motivation. Even if you can do just two words a day, you establish the discipline that helps you move forward.
I'm stuck in a limbo between beginner and intermediate. That kind of level where you just have to force yourself to immerse into media content, read manga, books and listen to as much native content as possible. But doing all of that, especially listening, is so difficult because I get distracted so easily when I barely understand something, and other times I just get plain bored.

Thats so true you can’t learn a language in a month it takes years and years to become fluent about motivation I haven’t been motivated at all but i really have the desire to learn Japanese its extremely difficult you need a strong goal that motivates you even at your worse not gonna lie before watching your videos i almost gave up Japanese but your words helped me realize that i can learn Japanese so thank you so much
My motivation is Japan itself. I want to visit Japan, I love their culture, etiquette, language, food etc. I started learn Japanese three years ago, and now I think I've pre-intermediate level. originally, i was bored during the pandemic lockdowns, so i went on duolingo and went "japanese seems interesting" I didn't really find my motivation until I started reading manga, i started reading ace of diamond which (until recently) didn't really have an official english translation. I had watched the anime and instead of waiting for a 4th season ,i started reading the manga and now I have all of the physical volumes (only available in japanese) for the entire 1st act. I can't stop learning now, or else I'll have nearly 50 books i can't read lol
Also, I started college this year and found a japanese language learner club and that helps a lot, since now I get to practice having conversations with other people :D

My motivation to learn Japanese is because I have a "platonic love" for a Japanese voice actor 🥰 (lol) and I want to understand what he says (for example in interviews or radio shows) a little better, but not only for that I learn Japanese, it's also because I've made friends with several Japanese girls and I'm currently enrolled in a Japanese association and I like to interact with the Japanese people in charge of that association 😊✨
But in addition to that, one of the requirements to graduate from the degree I'm currently studying is to speak and have knowledge of two languages, fluent English and some other language at an intermediate level (there are two languages you can opt for, French or Japanese) and I opted to continue learning Japanese (I started learning Japanese before I entered university), so that's also a motivation to continue learning Japanese ✨

My main motivation is that I want to watch a geisha performance and understand what the music is saying. I really want to see kitano odori, kyo odori, miyako no nigiwai, and gion odori. Another thing is that I really want to study medicine in Japan.

I mainly watch your videos to try reading the Japanese captions, so I’m basically trying to hear pronunciations of kanji and if I can’t fully understand every syllable of the said kanji then I tell myself “I’ll figure it out eventually”
Right now I’m learning Japanese similar to how a toddler would learn words and what they mean, I watch Japanese RUclipsrs, they say a particular sentence I want to use at some point, I listen closely to try understanding every word said and repeat it a few times until I’m confident I’ll remember that sentence

ボニー、優しい心を持っている、僕のお父さんい同じている (I randomly thought of saying this sentence when I was playing a horror game on rec room which is a knock-off version of The Joy of Creation, I don’t think you know much about it but you can research about that game if you want, it’s a FNAF fan game is all I’m gonna say, the horror game on rec room was called “Ignited Bonnie” I believe and when I said that sentence I was in a corner and there were two hallways on my left and right, I was facing diagonally to the corner of a wall, I was hearing Bonnie’s footsteps from the left hall and I said 「ボニー、優しい心を持っている、僕のお父さんに同じている」 a second after that I saw him charging at me full sprint so I ran through the right hall and right before to caught up to me and killed me I shouted 「あんたの赤目目はきも」if you English speakers are wondering what I said “your red eyes are cringe” and the other sentence “Bonnie, you have a kind heart, it’s just like my dad” I said that because Bonnie’s endoskeleton chest was exposed and had no heart and also the joke of your dad leaving to go buy something or go somewhere and hasn’t returned in years or decades, I don’t think the dad leaving and never returning joke is a big thing in Japan so a lot of Japanese people would be confused if you made those jokes, I basically said something usually sarcastic in English but said in Japanese which doesn’t have a whole lot of sarcasm, not saying Japanese never has sarcasm, they do, just not as much as English, so you wouldn’t sarcastically say “perfect, just great” in an inconvenient situation, in Japanese, you’d pretty much say “this is bad” or anything along those lines in any bad situation)

I am 37 and go to the university to learn Japanese. I take out my camera and record my speech with my native Japanese teachers. I go out and find Japanese people to practice even more. Create your own instrinsic motivation. Believe yourself. That is all there is to it. Period.
It was the "eh? Subete??" And the deadpan " sekai" for me😂😂😂😂😂 when you dont want to study but end up memorizing the most trivial things by heart😂
Motivation is very important, I tried to learn French, even if the lessons were very easy I don’t have motivation and I end giving up but I have very motivation to lear Japanese and I cried every kanji lesson but I love it and I learn more Japanese in 3 months that French in a year

I agree with the karaage person. Not that karaage is hard to get/make, but the feeling of accomplishment of learning a language I love and eventually moving to a country (fingers crossed) that's more suited for me, all by my own efforts... picturing that right there is a huge motivation.
It helps that I am having trouble digesting our own cuisine as I grow older (too spicy for me) and Japanese cuisine might just let me survive lol.
It also helps that Japanese is the sweetest sounding language of all languages I have heard, and the only way I get exposure to it is when I actively learn. My mother tongue sounds ROUGH, like someone is constantly swearing at you. English sounds meh and I had to learn it against my will anyway.
I think forming a habit of studying would help too

My motivation is because I want to travel to Japan, and being able to speak with the natives. Also because I watch anime, and I love the language and the culture. In my opinion if you love the culture of a country, it's easier and funnier to keep learning. Also, on some days it's really hard to keep learning, keep your motivation high, there might be worse days, but it's really worth it once you reach your destination! And the process, the journey which makes it so worth it and fun.

I already speak 3 languages on fluent level, but my dream, is to become a physic scientist in Japan, on CERNish places, where I can make some discoveries in elementary physics, as Peter Higgs and many others did
Some of my own thoughts about motivation:
1. JLPT would be a total waste of money. I don't even have any English related certificates because I simply don't need them at all.
2. I don't actively learn any kanji at all. I mostly use OCR and learn them passively when I encounter them enough number of times.
3. I have less than 0 motivation to study and use keigo. It's simply not in my style.
4. Before graduating from the university I could relatively easily get a good passing mark on Japanese subject to increase my overall grades' avarage.
5. After learning Japanese for so many years at this point I can't get myself to stop anymore ;)
I love learning languages and I find it interesting and I have the ability to memorize so that I do not need to repeat more than once easily, but I am bad at learning to write😅😂

The first guy about how I had no motivation but still remember stuff was me when I was studying dentistry for 3 years until I realized I had no real interest in it and I was doing it for the sake of my family XD Then I dropped out and took psychology. I'm learning Japanese because I was jealous of my friend who can speak japanese well eventhough he didn't learn at all and also because now I can speak to Japanese people through vrchat easily to practise. also I picked up some japanese while watching little anime so might as well just learn how to have conversations.

I learn Japanese because I want to talk in Japanese in my Japan Holidays. And because I’m interested in Japan and it’s culture. Therefore I „visit“ a language course. My problem is that I don’t have that much time. Therefore I need someone who keep my motivation on a high level.
なんで日本語の勉強を続けるって言うのは頑固でいるわけだろうと自分でも思います。昔日本に滞在していまして、最初は留学生だったりそれから日本語の環境の職場で働いたこともありました。ずっと日本語を勉強していたので話せるようになってきましたし 少しも書くことも読むことも出来ますけれどもまだまだ完成ではありません。日本語って非常に深い言語なので、とても難しいのです．日本語を馴染むのがそれほど難しいところではなくて、言語学の特集な才能がない限りもっと深いところまで学ぶのは本気の挑戦であります。ですからこの言語を途中までしか知らないままで死にたくないっているのは私にとっての勉強を続けるモチベーションになっています。

I'd say I am not motivated I just set myself the goal to study or immerse for 1h a day and just do that. I mostly have no motivation to that one hour so I do it in the morning to have it done for the day.
