Had a random thought for a possible game mode: reverse item effects. Mushroom slows you down, Lightning gives everyone Mega, items being thrown forward get dropped behind and vice versa, etc. Granted, since this is a random idea I had and I can not code anything anyway, whoever decides to code this(if anyone does) can change things around as they please.

Whenever someone wants to doubt Troy's chops in MK:Wii -- just show them the first 2.85 laps of BC Wii. My goodness what a run. I watch Nicholas from time to time, and he's pretty damn good at BCWii -- Troy looked like he was playing a different game.
Is there some sorte of Mario Kart Wii Randomizer that shuffle every stats, textures, sounds, etc. ? If so, it would be interesting to make a video about it.
I like how lately the game modes your able to get bonus items easier with the points given. How about a game mode where there are no item boxes on track but still get those bonus items at the end of every race?
Would item rain + online time trials be more or less competitive? I feel like it would be very competitive because people in first have more to dodge but more potential help. However, people further behind may be able to take a better line.

You'd have to make it so they immediately get used when obtained so people don't just hold one item the whole race and never use it
