Mount Wario is one of the best tracks because it is visually one of the most stunning and unique tracks in the game. It is a whole adventure and to top it all off every finish is intense and exciting racing down the big ski hill at the end.
Even then it gets boring after EVERYONE votes it EVERY TIME it comes up. Other tracks also have unique and stunning visuals and crazy finishes too
Hands down, Mount Wario is the best track in MK8. I don't play online, I mostly play 200CC and don't care for 150, but would be really happy if everyone voted everytime is comes up. People must have good taste.
@JimTheEditor there are other tracks that are just as good as that one though lol I get tired of seeing it honestly and I play it every day cause people just keep voting it. Don't get me wrong it's a very beautiful track but holy crap dude there's so many other awesome tracks in the game too

Troy probably doesn't remember much about the old MK8 days (pre-DLC), Mount Wario was the only track that wasn't a short circuit that got picked often, so it really stood out back then. It's not as popular now as it once was.

My thought is that people only remember the rare occurrences like getting hit by a blue shell which is probably why you think being in first is bad even though it's one of the safest positions other than last place because if you are in the middle of the pack where people are pulling triple reds triple greens and triple bananas you expect to get hit considering even the most defensive play you'll probably be hit and if you don't believe me let me list the things you get hit by in front running, middle of pack, and last/bagging
Front running:blue shell, red shell, shock, boo, bananas, blooper, stage hazards
Middle of pack: boomerang, blue shell, red shell, green shell, bananas, fire flowers, boo, shock, bombs, stars, bullets, blooper, stage hazards
Last/bagging: shock, bananas, stage hazards
Also you should do the actual worst combo Lemmy, jet bike, metal tires, waddlewing glider

I think getting bombs in 1st or bullets in 3rd are both ridiculous

I feel like online pickrate has made me enjoy certain tracks less, like now I dread when Excitebike, Baby Park etc pop up
For me it’s Thowmp Ruins, Toad Circuit and Tokyo Blur(Never understood why people pick these two tracks SPECIFICALLY), Toad Harbor, Baby Park, Electrodome and Donut Plains 3. People pick these tracks everyday I play Mario Kart 8dx and I’m TIRED of them😭😭

It’s a great track, to be fair. I do think people pick it too often though. Nothing compared to baby park and excitebike though - never going to understand why people enjoy playing those.

HEY Troy! If you really wanna push yourself, I recommend getting more comfortable with glider vectoring, and doing the insta-glider hops in the cannons. You'll be gaining so much time and it's basically free.

I know he's not funky, but Diddy sport coupe (ink striker stats) is a great time.

The Wii meat riders will disagree, but that's because of their bias, not actual track quality.
Mount Wario is one of the best Mario Kart tracks of all time, and the Wii nodtalgia taking over MK8D can't change that.

At mt wario trees the best line isnt really inside, its one tree away from the right! Also the cat cruiser has more invincibility when hit but a bigger hitbox :)
I think that getting better items more the farther ahead 1st place is CAN work, but the items you can get in 8 are out of wack is so many placements

I used to really like mount wario until I realized that far too often every single item is out to get you in the trees section, and that means it is virtually impossible to make any kind of comeback since the last section has nothing

Mount Wario is one of the most overrated tracks in Mario Kart History.
It starts very well and has nice visuals and music, but the second half of the track is awful: the woods section is annoying as hell (comeback is hard and there is an high chance to get Mario Karted) while the final part is boring and purely frontrunning-based, meaning that the comeback is almost impossibile after getting destroyed in the woods. Placements are pretty much already decided during only the first 2 laps and you have basically no control over your destiny on lap 3.
Pretty bad gameplay design. As said before, visuals and music are good (and the first lap is also good gameplay wise) so this track is still good overall, but definitely not S/S+ Tier as many players state. It's a B Tier track (A- Tier at most).
There is only 120 layouts for Exitebike Arena, not too many to learn.
Would love more 200cc tourneys

Mk8 makes it impossible to be competitive almost. There’s a million and one ways you can get hit regardless of how good your driving so unless your cracked u ain’t winning shit

What happened to that orange Yoshi on DK mountain is the biggest reason I don't enjoy playing this game myself. I hate races where I lead the whole time and then at the end of lap 3 just get screwed and drop multiple spots. Can't stand it.

So Karts and ATVs both have the same drift radius, the only difference between them is the female drivers have their biker suits on them. The Cat Cruiser has .75 more invincibility than the Teddy buggy, but also has a minusculely larger hit box. IMO the cat cruiser is just better than the Teddy buggy, but it’s not that big of a difference to actually matter.
