Wish I had more. That '85 team was interesting as well. Age and injuries seemingly caught up to them overnight. Everything turned until the '89 team won the NL East again.
@@retrosportsvision5873 100% injuries caught up with them - they were dominating until June. The '89 team was propelled by the rookies, Grace,Walton,Maddux,Smith,Williams, Well not rookies but young cubbies
Reds fan here… I remember listening to this game… when the Cubs went ahead early, I thought, “oh boy, we’re getting killed…”. But had a feeling that the guys would come back on them for a change because it was Pete’s team…. They had a different attitude from the three previous years when they were so awful…. When Doggie (Perez) hit the the three run homer, it was game on! LOL!
AWESOME! Love '85 Cubs games bless you sir!

The '85 Cubs were riding off their '84 greatness until June 12.
13 in a row took care of any chances
The 1980s when America was fun . Not this shitshow of today .
I attended this game. Great game!
How is Brewster getting away with wearing a necklace on the mound
I wonder is a major league team can use the Bat Boy as a pinch hitter, after all he is part of the team
Larry Gura on the Cubs?
He made 4 starts for the Cubs after the Royals released him in '85. Cubs cut him loose later that summer.
I hope the Cubs sent Gura back to where he came from
They did release him shortly after this, only made a couple starts.
National anthem from Hell.
The singing, you mean? LOL. Yes, it sucketh.
Poor Larry didn’t last long in ‘85. By then he was washed up
If hes fast he hid it well.🤣🤣🤣
