The scale length may be short. But it'll take you a long time to find any other instrument that plays and feels as good as the Gibson SG Standard Bass. Delivering fantastically full tone in an iconic package, it's crafted from mahogany and rosewood tonewoods that bring the best out of your basslines. They'll give you a sonic range that's rich, characterful, and full of warmth.
That short scale we mentioned earlier? It'll give you the smoothest, most natural playing experience you've ever had. Because the decreased length makes hopping from fret to fret seamless. And every single note will enjoy maximum clarity - at any volume. A duo of calibrated SG bass pickups are designed to eliminate noise, even at the highest outputs.
So you'll cut through the mix with total quality. It's everything you need - and more... - Видеоклипы

Why doesn't Epiphone make a copy of this?
@@Avolkotrub This Epiphone is not a short scale bass like the Gibson SG though.
@@LCA1985 they make a bolted neck/single pickup version
@@inevitablecraftslab I had one. It has a thinner neck, but has no growl or sustain like the Gibby. But you can always swap out the pup.
@@bflo1000 jup i got one too, but i did a bit more to it than changing the pickup :)
ibb.co/4TFC8hX
i put a quarterpounder, a series/parallel switch and a passive diode-distortion in it.
I LOVE this bass.
@@inevitablecraftslab Beautiful! Dennis Dunaway put a Split P in his EBO, painted it green and called it "The Frog". He used it until their "Killer" Album. RJ Dio put a J pup in his EBO (you'd think there would be a HUGE impedence mismatch) when he was w ELF. BTW, which pup did you replace the HB with?
I can't believe that Gibson is still using that shitty bridge.
Yeah, mine came w it...unfortunately. Pretty piss poor HW for a $1500 Bass. I paid about Half that for a used one.
Those shitty bridges are very good and reliable,I have no problems with them at all,and I would never change it.
Needs flatwounds to sound right.
Agreed. Back in the day they were simply called strings.
But for hard rock (which many buy it for) rounds give a lot more growl. For blues, flats are probably better.
That's what I got. a couple of gold ones. looks amazing with the black finish
@@Cap683 RotoSound stainless steel roundwounds have existed as we know them now since 1966, granted almost no one except John Entwistle of The Who used them for the first couple of years they were around. Greg Lake of King Crimson and ELP was another. Personally, I don't like the dull *tum, tum, tum, flub, blub, blub* of flatwounds. If I want more bottom end, I simply crank the bass knob on my amp.
@@Apprentice_of_the_Leonine ..yup, have flat wounds but they sit in the case as spares. Flat wounds are sooo smooth on the fingers though.
Low E sounds out of tune
yep
