Laios's logic that he needs to dig down to get to Marcille's dream because his head was on her was just perfect.
"Laios didn't resolve the feelings of not fitting in in his dream" No. play close attention. He did "resolve" it.
He threw his most powerful servant, a 3 headed monster, at them and squished them, then he turned into a wolf and escaped.

A little detail I like this episode is Chilchuck covering his ears because of Izutsumi's loud mouth noises when she's eating. Because of his better hearing.

Your reaction to Marcille seeing Laios as a fluffy dog made me see that scene in a new, more emotional light. Thank you! Also, love the slow build-up of the backstories and trauma of the characters in this show. It expplains their characterisations SO WELL throughout the story. Can't wait for more!
Shen is a monster in Chinese legend. It is considered to be either a kind of dragon or a giant clam. And it is believed to be in the ocean and exhale mirage.
fun fact: some extra 'what if' situation comics were added to the blue rays and one of them was what if there were more nightmares in the other pillows. when they went to steam the nightmares, everyone's dreams got revealed at once, and the others dreams were:
laios: riding on the back of his monstersona and having fun
senshi: desperately spoon-feeding a nest of 4 baby birds accessorized to look like the other party members (including catbird izutsumi)
chilchuck: bathing in a big wooden tub of gold coins and laughing
this team has tormented heroine, fan service man, gap moe halfing, dog boy and now a cat girl. By god, they have it all

What struck me about this episode is that I'd already come to the conclusion that Laios was autistic, but now, like. I think the author's making him autistic rep on purpose. His nightmare is basically the stuff people woth autism get told repeatedly their entire lives - as well as stuff I have nightmares about, too. You get told you don't belong your entire life - and you find one niche in which you belong and are even really competant at, but unless you're able to make it your actual job, you'll continue having to try to do jobs that you are not suited for because people expect you to work the same as an allistic person.
Like, take that thing Shuro said to him in a past episode: "I was giving you cues that anyone would've understood", and Laois going "You should've just outright told me". I have seen sooo many autistic people on the internet complain that people don't say what they mean outright. And it's like that for most of the things that Laois "lacks common sense about" according to the other characters: he always "lacks common sense" in a way that matches up with how many autistic people describe their experience, to the extent that it comes off as a tad in-your-face to me - but that's because it's something I've been researching on and off for years now. And yet it works so well - and I'm happy that Laios seems to have found a place to belong and be competant at. I envy that. I hope that's what happens in the few years to come, and that I don't come out of it thinking even art, the one thing I am good at, is not one I am made for, just like all the other things I know I'm not suited for - because I'm too slow, too unfocused, lack "common sense", am insensitive, am too meticulous, stand out too much, talk too loud, or am too picky, or get too easily stressed. Art, the one thing I will talk about so long that it gets on people's nerves - I hope that doesn't throw me out, too

IIRC the paintings weren't there in this sequence in the manga, they were added for this adaptation.
Oh sure, when Marcille treats her short-lived good boy friend as a cute pet, it's adorable. But when _Omniman_ calls his wife a pet, suddenly it's not okay.

Not at all. That book was just fueling my theories even further cuz I knew it was important and I made the connection to Thistle already.
What I didn’t understand was the “8” on it. I know what it is now but I’m also now hitting myself in the head for not realizing what it meant

FYI, all those hilarious Sengi "panty" shots serve as a joke, homage, and possibly revenge by the creator of the manga for the classic fetish of looking up a teenage girl's skirts. That joke is a cornerstone in almost all manga and anime throughout history!

She was 17 when the manga came out several years back, so she's mid-20s now.
Though given cats age at an accelerated rate, and she's half cat, how old is she in Tallman-Human years? We assume her "base" is Eastern Tallman, but she's a perfect half-cat blend, and they have about one fifth the lifespan. So on average, she'd be three fifths, halfway, of a Tallman lifespan, which is approximately 100. Or in other words, at 17, she's about 28 years old, Tallman-lifespan-wise.
just remember a lot of these are recorded in batches so even if told now they won't find out until later if you comment now.
