Thanks Efren. Really enjoying this series.
Thank you Efren. You turn the image of this hot Camino upside down!
I had no idea it was this beautiful
Efren, I walked the Primativo and spent the night in the monastery in Cornellana. I went to the Mass there and wanted to talk to the priest after the mass. Instead he pushed his way through the pilgrim crowd and rushed out of the church. I asked some locals what that was all about. They told me he had to go to 5 other masses and had to rush to go to them.
There is a shortage of priests. But you have a point, the communities could collect donations and have someone there.
Anyway, I was
shocked that the house of God was locked and not available to the pilgrims.
There was one of the churches that was broken into along the trail and the thieves stole some of the altar items!
Hi Efren, I agree about the churches.. they should at least open these along Camino Frances if not the other routes. It is a spiritual route after all. Love your videos and commentaries. It was a highlight for us to meet you at SJPDP in May. We are now back in Australia after having walked Camino Frances to Fisterra. You are my inspiration. Buen camino and thank you. Sylvia 😊
it is my biggest issue with the camino. it should be Catholic Disneyland. no wonder it feels like a hike.
Thanks for showing us your drone up close - was thinking about taking one on my next trip, as it seems to capture natural beauty better than regular cameras,
Spain is making it nearly impossible to fly. I may stop flying there.
🐝thanks for the great video🌻
Thank you too
Another beautiful/inspiring episode with lots of good information. Thanks.
I'm glad you are enjoying the series. There is still a lot to come.
I am planning that for a couple years from now. Can’t wait!
I wish you all the best
oh man. you werr so lucky with the water crossings after Calzadilla de los Barros. The water crossings were knee deep when I was there. A few days after people had the water all the way up to their hips 😮
Oh wow. I can imagine. I had one of those a few days later
That was a beautiful church you visited, Efren. Have you thought about doing a Churches of the Camino compilation? I think that would be epic.
PS: completely agree with you with respect to some of the churches not being open. What's a pilgrimage if the churches en route are closed? 🤷♂
(Edited for grammar.)
indeed. it bothers me that it's a pilgrimage and you don't feel the presence of the church. let's not even talk about semana santa when everything closes and we are left to our own devices.
I've never seen that much garlic on a meal !
lol I just pushed it aside
Hey Efren, can you link something about the route from Nice to Rome please
Are you still going through Cinque Terre? It's incredible. My favorite place in Italy.
Not thie time. I've decided to walk from Geneva to Rome next month in order to make it over the San Bernard's pass before they close it for the winter. But I'll definitely walk the Cinque Terre section one of these days.
