The black spotted staining on the mattresses are due to bed bugs. That filth is from their waste, that just tells you how bad the infestation is/was. The small stains on the door ways could be due to housekeeping touching the walls with cleaner on their gloves. It's really sad that this hotel is in a prime location right outside of Disney property. These people have no idea what they're doing. It's even more sad that the hotel was started by such a wonderful man. This is a mockery of his memory.
I stayed here in 97 for my first Disney trip. It was amazing then when it was Holiday Inn, the convenience store was great and had a Little Caesars in there, the arcade was stocked, the movie theater for kids was cool and they even had their own costumed mascot Holiday Hound (Still have my Holiday Hound plushie from the gift shop to this day). It's so sad to see it in it's current state remembering how much fun I had there as a kid. 😟
Same! Stayed there from 1990 and on. We stayed in 2003 & 2006 when it was seralago and slowly saw it going down hill when it wasn’t holiday in anymore. 😢
I stayed at this place in January 2008. It cost more than $17/night, maybe $40-$50. It was clean and decent and seemed to have been recently renovated. It still felt a bit sketchy but nothing unsafe. The main thing I remember is two different DVD rental machines in the lobby (I think by the restaurant, which was also closed when I went) - one for "family" movies, and one for "adult" movies. The "family" movie machine was full, while the "adult" movie machine had most slots empty with an indication that the movies were checked out.
Resort fees🤣OMG that was the funniest part. The gall that they would charge resort fees. Ive stayed at some dives on 192 when I was young but this place takes the cake.
There are enough amenities missing/closed/not usable (I'm curious as to whether the video game arcade still exists/has anything functional) that disputing the resort fee with your credit card might be feasible.
$17 seems reasonable, but not with the addition of a resort fee. US consumer rights are just garbage compared with Europe. Prices on search engines should be the total price including all taxes and fees, so all offers are directly comparable.
There's a law in California that prices have to include all fees, so the listed price would include the resort fee if you're viewing it from California. Hopefully this becomes a nationwide thing.

Seralago before the pandemic (2018-19) was a decent cheap bed with no bedbugs and Disney surplus furnished. The worst thing I remember was a family of raccoons in the ice machine outside. It was $25 a night then, if it's $17 now the quality must have taken a more serious dive.
The rust stains on the wall by the door hinges is caused by someone spraying WD-40 all over the hinge to quiet the squeak when you open and close the door. As the spray travels it picks up the rust on the hinge and splatters it all over the wall behind it.

If it's $17+$69 in resort fees, it's not the cheapest hotel in the area. There are plenty of hotels in the area around Walt Disney World with clean rooms that actually have the amenities that Seralago promises for $86 a night or less.

This is one example of why I will never stay in a hotel or resort again. We stayed at a RV park in Alabama once and the little cabin was nice, but I woke up and saw a line of bed bugs crawling over the bunkbed above my head. Needless to say we put all our luggage in black garbage bags for the trip home and left the unloaded cases in the bags placing them in the hot summer sun for a week. Never had a problem, but that was enough for us. I fear things will not get better anywhere you stay.
I used to stay there pretty regularly for the Mecum Auto Auction - last time back in 2018. It was nowhere near that bad. If I head back that way, I will definitely go elsewhere.
For the amount of times I have driven by there, I’ve always been curious to see what it’s like inside. Thank you for sharing. Hell, no, I will not be staying there.
That looks like what was the Roomba Main Gate years ago. I worked for the company in Daytona and went down there to do a corporate inspection. After inspecting about 100 rooms, i called it quits. It needed major repairs....
I have an Airbnb two miles from Disney Springs! You can see WDW nightly fireworks from balcony! Name of hotel/condo is Blue Heron Beach Resort; a private king-size bedroom/private bathroom with shared full-kitchen/washer/dryer is $49 per night! Best DEAL next to Disney World! Most units are one-bedroom condos for rent at $149 per night. Tiki bar and huge pool overlooking Bay Lake. Stay at my place and do a review! Anyone doing a RUclips review can stay for half price to get word out about how nice my place is!
I loved watching this video! I stayed at this exact hotel as a child. Back in 1981. It was a Holiday Inn. I knew watching this that it was familiar. I remember the vacation very well as does the rest of my family. We were there for a convention for my dads work. Back in the 80’s it was top of the line. It’s pretty interesting watching these videos and seeing how things change over the many years. Thank you for doing this one. Quite sure I won’t stay there now. Ha.
Thank you for sharing this! I stayed at Seralago back in 2007. Stayed in the last room (ground floor) just before you walked round the bend to the 2nd pool, opposite the tennis courts. To be honest, whilst the rooms were very basic they were pretty clean and the only issue I had was the chain lock on the door was very loose, so much that I reckon if you charged at the door it would have come right off. Sad to see it in its current state. Given the location and the size of the land I think it would be the ideal place for regeneration.
That place looks like the Holiday Inn Kissimmee my family stayed at in 1972. If it’s the same place, it sucked even then. The more I watch this, the more I am convinced it’s the same place. Our room was on the second floor of the same building you stayed in. I was very young but I remember it well. We were there two nights. There was a full service restaurant typical of 1970s style Holiday Inns. We spent one day in Disney a world which was, at the time, a disappointment compared to Disneyland, which we visited the year prior. On the third day, we drove to Clearwater where we stayed at the Holiday Inn on the water…a newer tower style building which was way nicer.
This happened to 2 hotel/motels in my town. They were bought by Desi's and are still open now. They are falling apart and actually look abandoned. You can see the way they were built that they must of looked beautiful back in the day.

This should be the Hotel all the Immigrants are forced to live at if they enter America illegally 😂47BLOKFacts
Exactly
They’d think they are in heaven. It’s better than the barrios they left.
Great video dude. Keep up the good content. Definitely will steer clear of this place. Ewwwww!!!!
Saw this on my recommended page. Great video. Subscribed.
Love your stuff! This is hilarious 😂 Thanks for doing what you do❤
I actually think we stayed here in 2017 ish when we missed our flight home haha. Hey, it was cheap... Amazing video!
We ride by there on our bikes. I think I'll cross the road when biking by the next time.
That looks like what was the Roomba Main Gate years ago. I worked for the company in Daytona and went down there to do a corporate inspection. After inspecting about 100 rooms, i called it quits. It needed major repairs....
My brother wonders why i don’t stay at the cheaper places. When we go in September.
Disney Resorts and the Universal ones don’t look like this lol.
We went there in the early 2000’s when my daughter wasn’t bad when we were there . But man this is awful how it’s fallen
I could stop laughing at this concept!! Great idea!!
You're cracked out. Pizza Hut is freaking awesome!!!
17:04 There is absolutely no way in hell that you said Walter White and Jess "Eisenberg"
The Dan Bell of it all! 😂
he’s the OG, I only hope to one day be that good at these videos 😆
@ I am a big fan of Dan Bell’s Dead Mall videos, but Another Dirty Room is too intense for me.
Omg! I'm laughing out loud...this is fantastic work. Love it! Great video Ryan. And no, I would not stay there.
HECK NO!!!😂 great video though!
I made it to the end!!!
Also, I have also wondered what this hotel is like because we have driven past it so many times.
This condition is not the fault of the hotel. It is the fault of the sorry trashy people who destroy other peoples property.
I used to live near there. I always wondered what was inside.
Fair evaluation
