Idk, Niles told her to tell him her true age but she didn't say she did, maybe she's a little older. This is season 5, if she were 34 that means she would've been 29 in the 1st season, which she wasn't

And she was happy about it, so I'm guessing she's a little older given that Maxwell investigated her when he hired her
There is an episode in season three where Val let's it slip that she is 33 and Fran true to convince Niles that Val is older than her.
It was funny how his dog looked just like Maxwell !!!! There is only one man made for Nanny Fine and that’s Maxwell! Loved this episode! Good that he dumped Fran she ended up being with the right man after all!👍👍
