Despite all the shortcomings, this seems like a decent offering from Motorola if they can keep the promise of 2 major Android updates and monthly security updates

Considering that both the mi and nord phones has got several updates,I would say the cameras of moto did an awesome job. It's very likely that the performance will improve with a couple of updates. Especially when we consider the fact that moto won't release 100 phones in a year. So they will probably give enough attention to their latest models atleast for an year or so.
Really cool to see the 64mp Omnivision sensor compete so well with the 108mp samsung hm2 sensor and even clearly defeat it in many instances don't get it why people are disappointed if companies give Omnivision sensors in their devices Real life performance is all that matters which is clearly visible in the comparison
How does it compare with the a52? I am getting it around 21k through student discount and bank offer,or shall I ditch these and get a redmi note 10 pro and install a custom rom and use it?
A52 is a 4g phone. Moto Edge 20 Fusion has 13 5g bands, stock android and 10 bit display. Note 10 pro with custom rom will be great but xiaomi has hardware proximity sensor issues. If 5g doesn't matter to you and you wanna keep your phone for 4 years, then buy A52, If you will keep your phone for like 1.5-2 years buy Note 10 pro. And if you want 5g then buy Moto Edge 20 Fusion. Also Moto has 10 bit display and 30 watt tyce c to c charging which A52 is missing. So choose accordingly. Cheers!!
@@sidm5753 Thanks for the insights sid,I don't think 5g is gonna be affordable in the upcoming years and it will take time,I personally hated the proportions of the display and chin and the that large punch hole,I don't have much issues with the proximity sensor thing and I am mostly thinking of the note 10 pro with custom rom or a52 not yet decided,the camera's on a52 are more promising with ois and good ultrawide and macro support and have ip67 rating which is very useful as I use it a lot by the kitchen,so it's mostly the a 52 now. The display is pretty good but I would have preferred thinner bezels.
According to mysmartprice hindi channel's dedicated battery test the Moto Edge 20 Fusion was the top performer with 7hr 30m SOT followed by Nord CE at 7hr 25m. The Mi 10i was the worst at 5hr 45m. But your findings are different. Is it due the Moto Edge 20 fusion having a higher idle power draw then?

I absolutely adore the edge 20 fusion but my only problem w that smartphone is the processor. Now don't get me wrong, mediatek has been doing a phenomenal job giving a tough competition to Qualcomm since the last year or so, but the GCam support in Mediatek chipsets is far from usable. The viewfinder is extremely choppy and the app crashes after each and every shot. I'm saying so because I've noticed these bugs in all mediatek powered phones! On the other hand, Qualcomm 400 series chipsets run GCam very smoothly too! It's because the overall optimisation of Qualcomm is still far better than mediatek's!
But in my mediatek 1200 device gcam works flawlessly with all modes although I had a hard time finding a perfectly working gcam but after all I found it and I m happy with the results of it it's better than the stock cam Not a mediatek Fanboy btw

it will not cause any problem and google map will work absolutely fine. The only problem is that it doesnt supports gyroscope on BGMI or even PUBG . If you are a gyro player this is not the phone for you

you should not review 'review units' because I think the Nord 2 that you got was modified because the front camera ultrawide and even human shots on the main camera are poor on Nord 2

The audio is the biggest concern in stock android devices, the music listening is not that great. I faced that issue in Nokia 7 plus too. I had to use third party music players. But system level no setting to fine tune. The OEM should fine tune the audio signature or use Dolby like samsung, OnePlus.. Thank you very much for mentioning about audio quality which is a big deal for people like me. No reviewer mentions these. Love ur detailed reviews
