Carrier of the Week - Mini Monkey Twin

One of only a handful of dedicated Twin carriers available on the market, the Mini Monkey TWIN offers a tandem hip carry. It features a secure sturdy waistband and soft lightweight shoulder straps that connect to 2 pouches - one for each baby. The pouches can be really simply adjusted using 1 pull to tighten toggle at the back, and a seperate adjuster at the front to adjust the head support and tightness at the top of the carrier.
In theory the Mini Monkey Twin is weight tested from 3.5kg to 12kg (each baby!) but realistically I find this works best from around 8 weeks (it is hard to get a really good snug fit under this age, even if babies are over 3.5kg) through till around 8-10 months. Babies will actually continue fitting in this carrier much longer than this - my daughter in the photo was actually 14 months at the time and still fitting beautifully - but as babies grow it becomes hard and hard for the parent to actually use their arms while wearing babies in this carrier! Most parents report that they used it happily until around 8 to 10 months and then they could no longer reach around their babies to pick things up in front of them etc and so moved on to a different option for carrying their twins at this point.
