Great colorization job. One can hardly believe this was once a black and white movie. It's nice to see Judy Tyler and Elvis in those romantic cliches, when he tells her "Sorry maam, but you do bring out the beast in me". Elvis was exceedingly good in his earlier films because he was trying desperately to master the art of acting. My all time favorite was and still is "King Creole" with great story, acting and songs. The film was based on the Harold Robinson novel "A stone for Danny Fisher" My top Elvis number too is featured here "Don't ask me why". Another top performance of his was "Wild in the country". Those 50's/early 60's films had meaning and purpose in their narratives. In later years, his acting became perfunctory. The top musical film of his career was undoubtedly, "Viva Las Vegas" with that spitfire, Ann Margret.

What do you use for such clear color?
Today, there are many software programs for colorizing or restoring videos! The hardest thing is to get something natural... It's really complicated to detail my method. Generally, I convert the sequence to black and white, to adjust exposure, contrast, light and dark tones, as well as whites and blacks; if it's already in color, I skip the previous step. I then export PNG image sequences, often between 3,000 and 5,000 images for 2 to 3 minutes of video, into a folder. Then I run a frame-by-frame colorization, and with a second process I correct all the color curves, once again frame by frame, to eliminate as many errors as possible! I then do a first pixel enhancement treatment in 2K "still frame by frame", then I move on to a Face recovery . and I finish with a penultimate pixel treatment in 4K by compiling the image in mp4 . then I either interpolate in 60fps to gain fluidity on the video or put it directly on the Timeline to re-synchronize it with the soundtrack .... In short, all this represents between 5 and 7 different software programs and treatments.
