Why stone carving declined in india? If u look at old temples even 300 -400 years old they were very complicated ,beautiful and unique. Even old palace or fort have better design and carving. But today with machinery we can't achieve it look at Ayodhya temple look same like other. No uniqueness. Do u think we lose that creativity and skills.?

This can be connected with a larger topic of "working men"
Men across centuries have been employed in different kinds of professions in large population, back then stone carving would have paid a lot more maybe.
Now the same population is getting paid for building software and sculpting that sphere of the world instead

Economics, India was the richest country back then, we can't afford the finess of the artisans. We can say all that but let's say your architects asks for 8 to 12% of the project cost, you'd be so shocked that you might not even do the project, but that's what you need to pay so that architect would put mote of his time and finess into the project. Not just architecture, let's take anything. We want everything for cheap and the market for well finished and done products is gone
