@@D__Ujjwal - I sure hope the Indian government selects competent artists to do the renovation work at the Angkor Wat and does not involve the Archeological Survey of India at all. You only have to check out the renovation work they did on the Sun Temple in Korank, Odisha - it's a mess! The restoration of historical relics requires experts and artists with excellent aesthetics and skills. The Cambodian authorities must think deep and only select the most competent experts from the international scene to do the work.

I've been here. It is awe inspiring. I'll never forget the monk who gave us the tour.
I found the Jain philosophy so interesting. The sculpture is intricate and it is all in prestine state.
One of the persons in this video says Ranakpur is "a little jewel in the forest". I'd say it's a treasure.
My favorite is the carved ceiling featured on 9:03 . Neither photographs nor video do it justice. If it is within your power, go. This is a bucket list kind of place.

(we both are Hindus).... and I was like, dude it's Indian Heritage..... just look at the intricate carvings, just imagine how did the Indian people made such a marvellous structure 500 years ago.......... I wonder why do people bring their religion everywhere..... I enjoyed a lot while my friend felt weird walking into a Jain temple... British rule
Historians estimate that between 30,000 and 60,000 Hindu temples were destroyed during British rule. These acts were often motivated by a desire to weaken Indian culture and suppress religious practices.
    Muslim rule
Hindutva ideologues estimate that 60,000 temples were demolished under Muslim rule in India. However, some say that the precise number of temples desecrated can never be known.
    Mughal rule
Former Karnataka minister KS Eshwarappa claimed that the Mughals destroyed 36,000 temples during their reign

In reality Hindus were not supposed to make temple . Vedic hymns Hindus use to do yagyas only.
Temple building traditions were started by Sharmanas.
But due to their power ful philosophy Hindu started competiting them and also started building temples. Originally Tamilnadu Karnataka, Andra was also 👍 nayed by shramans .

I heard thousands of Temples were destroyed during Mughal Invasions. Why isn't an official estimate carried out ?

Who said there is different, it only culture that is difference not the teaching, they all are pointing at same direction Moksha and Good karma. Culture can be different according to the people needs and where they live.

There should be a program in the research about how these temples were constructed

These 'quadademics' could never even come close to wrapping their rigid minds around it.
These are all remnants of the overlapping versions of existance within the maya realms.
The vedas call it yugas, each has their own terminology for it.
But a deeper knowing and willingness to share freely with all during the times of such civilization allowed/allows for structures, technology, healing, to be widely created through true knowing or observation of frequency and light within these electromagnetic constructs we here call an earth.

    Admirable Rajasthan!
In todays world the craftsmen of the most intricate carvings could be terminated!
    For being "God like" !
The imperfection of the skewed pillar could have been the arresting of the work, so that the powers could claim the laurels for entirety of the scheme!
Projecting the imperfection as a humble spiritual exercise, seems manipulation of the truth, but in fact the failure of the claimant to have been the creative talent!

I was there a few years ago. It's a beautiful temple, but visitors weren't allowed to go near to the main shrine.

Name your temple "correctly" according to google map will make it easy for us to locate where in Rajasthan. Its called Ranakpur Jain Temple which is correct in your subtitle but not mentioned in your main title for the youtube. A search for Chaturmukh temple is all over india.

Let me give you all some facts that you might not hear at all anywhere else.
This temple was initially taken care by Anandji Kalyanji pedhi which is the prime management trust of Jain community(ownership and management)
Now this has been taken under by the government under the forest act and it’s taken away from the Jain community. The pujaris are not Jain’s. These people are very rich and influential and they don’t want the temple to go back to the Jain community.
The Jain community is fighting hard to get back this temple but the government is not cooperating and there is a full fledged plan to make it tourist spot, hampering the sanctity of Jain temples. So many rituals cannot be carried in this temple because the Jain community don’t have the permission to do so.
Multiple instances of violences have taken place when the Jain community has fought for it’s rights, this is sad because Jain community is a minority and we do not have a voice and people don’t care about us much eventhough our contribution to the country is highest.
Let this sink in. Do some research yourself and figure out how much Jain community is suffering as a minority. Not only this but almost all important pilgrimage centers are in attack specifically by government and by some hindu groups.
    BJP is the mastermind here.

Temples should be place of worship not a place of selfies & tourists. We can promote temple tourism/pilgrimage to Hindus of other parts of Bharat.
