The impact that man had at WHU was insane. Free kicks, Goals, Assists, Skills. Payet gave me some of my best live football memories. 2015/2016 season at Upton Park watching him was something else. He controlled everything.
He was only at WH for two years, but what amazing two they were. As a Liverpool fan I only have positive things to say about him. He scored some crazy goals for them. He obviously left for family reasons snd WH were good for letting him go, but they also realised it probably wasn’t worth having a player who was desperate to leave, it would have told in his performances. He’s now 37 and playing in Brazil for Vasca.
That interview was hilarious especially the bit about the name Leslie. Danny saying you were Lez until your mum was annoyed with you then you became Leslie is so true.
As a fantasy player I caught on to how good Payet was within a few games ……..absolute class in every facet of the game and how he went to Marseille and never played for a top top club is one of the most baffling things of all time…..his touch and decision making was off the charts.
My answers (Premier League era only) Finishing = Ruud van Nistelrooy Pace = Gareth Bale Passing = Paul Scholes Heading = Les Ferdinand Tackling/Aggression = John Terry Dribbling = Ryan Giggs Leadership = Vincent Kompany
Michael Owen would smoke bale and he was better finisher then rude when he was one on one everyone just turned walked back to centre circle granted the candle faded but those 5 years he was unplayable
Yes, his football knowledge is impressive. He could make a seamless career switch without a problem. Only thing producers might have nightmares about is if the odd naughty word slips in on live radio from Danny by mistake.
Dicanio also won the fifa fair play award for catching the ball and stopping play when he had a great chance of scoring, so an opponent could have treatment away at Everton .
But tbh , a cold wet midweek night game away at Barnsley etc he didn't play claiming he was 'injured' lol , Can't deny it , we all knew he was ok because he would play on the Saturday a couple of days later.. I laugh now but it wasn't funny at the time especially when we NEEDED him and the points ..
If a player from Liverpool slipped in my dms id demand more than that europewn brass bowen won!! Though i do think he could have been the difference for englan in a few games tbh
What do you class as a 'big' club ? And how can you claim Wigan have ACHIEVED MORE than westham in the last 40 years ? I believe Wigan are in the 3rd division, and have spent more years in lower leagues than westham have in those 40 years. Wigan won the FA cup about 10 years ago, westham won the Euro conf cup year before last. Westham have NEVER been lower than the 2nd division, over 90% of our time has been in the top division. ( one of only a few clubs can claim that) Westham have a huge fan base, we sell out over 60k each home game, I think Wigan stadium is under 30k , even though Wigan have a larger catchment area and unlike westham are not surrounded by a bunch of premier league & lower league clubs all within a couple of miles of each other. I've travelled around many countries throughout my life and always come across other westham fans, fan clubs, , even before the premier league existed and started showing games around the world. Westham have attracted many top players who are world famous, Wigan might have had one or two top players but without looking none that come to my mind . I don't know how many times Wigan have played in Europe in 40 years, apart from the time after winning the FA cup, and I haven't a clue how far they got. But I guarantee its less than westham and not as far as quarter finals, semi finals and a final. Going beyond the 40 years, the one time England won the world cup the team included 3 westham players, one a captain and two who scored the 4 goals, ( 1 getting a hatrick, which has never been done before or since) Basically westham won the world cup. We played in the first ever Wembley fa cup final, we are the last team to win a European trophy with all England players. The great Pele called Bobby Moore the best defender in the world... Just a few reasons why westham ARE a BIG CLUB and known around the world.
One of best players I’ve ever seen in the prem , 30 years old btw and a Boro fan so no biased here , payet was outrageous

He then dropped his tools and forced a move
@@gibbo822 His wife did.
some of the free kicks didn't even look real, as a man united fan I loved seeing him play, what a baller
The chemistry between these two is great entertainment
Tim Cahill for heading. Underated in that department
100 percent definitely underrated..
That would have been my pick too

We need Danny Dyer, Jason Cundy, and Jamie O'Hara working together on talkSPORT. Danny Dyer always is a good laugh. 😆🤣

@@RsR6969 I'd be more worried about how to keep him from doing lines off the desk.
He's a national treasure
these 2 were absolute class together, Dyer very funny and good entertainment
PLEASE can we make Danny Dyer a permanent fixture of Talksport. Love the guy ⚒️⚒️⚒️
Man, you gotta love Danny Dyer. He is such a Gentleman.

Be on TalkSport more
Imagine what his reaction would be if Bowen ever left
I probably shouldn’t, but I actually quite like Danny Dyer 😂😂 this is a good space for him!
He was superb for such a brief period.
Caused a lot of problems for us at a time when we didnt need it ie the stadium move.

They Way Danny speaks about United you can see United broke this mans heart plenty times lol
When someone smashes someone with a crunching tackle Goodison Park gets rocking. Everytime. Danny made some good points. Get him on TalkSport more.

The way he talks about Jarrod Bowen 😂
Quality content people bravo 👏👏
Lol Paulo Di Canio didn’t want to play away games. He played only home games. 😅😅
True story.
His 2nd best goal for West ham was away at Chelsea
Dicanio also won the fifa fair play award for catching the ball and stopping play when he had a great chance of scoring, so an opponent could have treatment away at Everton .
When Barthez tried cheating Dicanio into stopping him scoring claiming the referee had blown the whistle, he took no notice and scored, away at manU.
But tbh , a cold wet midweek night game away at Barnsley etc he didn't play claiming he was 'injured' lol ,
Can't deny it , we all knew he was ok because he would play on the Saturday a couple of days later..

@kevwhufc8640 remember radaciou

Gotta be Ian Rush as the all time best finisher.
He's earned he's spot on talksport

Verassing her off . 😂 proper geezer ⚒️
I think Danny Dyer is living every girl dad's dream 😂
We were all really gutted when Payet left .. :/
Dion Dublin is the best headerer of the ball ive ever seen very underrated....
Enjoyed that 💯
God I love Danny, so damn funny. He doesn't even need to try
Hardest man in football Danny Dyer!
Lesley is like the name Reginald. Very much of its time and something you would never call your kid now.
Dyer selecting mostly West Ham players 😂
I wonder why
Quality 😂😂 👏
Passer has to be Scholes
Why 😂
Good shout Premier League wise, I'd still have De Bruyne a shade ahead of him
If a player from Liverpool slipped in my dms id demand more than that europewn brass bowen won!!

The ultimate footballer? Players like Andres Iniesta. They can do everything.
Apart from score, head, tackle, sprint....
@@Timothy_Dalton33 yeah Ruud Gullit or Lothar Matthäus would be good shouts. Some people might laugh but Yaya Touré as well.

Thierry Henry is up there with thr most overrated players. The same club as rooney, lampard and christiano Ronaldo
Majorly disagree, Heny was the best striker the Premier league has seen, better than shearer
You need to lay off the drugs son,Henry is up there with the best
You know nothing all of them where better than average
