Remember, Luz was bullied for her whole life. She had no one there to stand by her side and protect her from getting picked on. But Amity makes up for that, she is overly protective of Luz and makes her feel safe. I bet Luz was secretly desperate to find someone who'd make her feel safe and protected. Also, Luz had a lonely childhood that full of traumas, and she found comfort in Good Witch Azura series. But she didn't have anybody around that shares similar interests with her, until she met Amity. Amity also had a lonely childhood and found comfort in Good Witch Azura. That was the beginning of their friendship, bonding over their similar interests that shared by no one else (Amity is literally the only person who reads this series in the whole Boiling Isles)

Dana Terrace earned this level of recognition thanks to this series! The relationship is not something that was rushed or forced whatsoever. It took time for the relationship between Luz and Amtiy to grow with each episode and done in the most realistic way possible.
It's actually incredible that it wasn't rushed considering Amity developed her attraction to Luz halfway in season 1. Usually, that type of development would happen only during the following season if it were any other show. I will say, though, Amity did come off a bit too horny for Luz during that Boscha bullies everybody episode (not that it was a problem).

But Luz was the healing presence that helped Amity find herself. So its no wonder Amity fell in love. Luz became WAY aware of Amity of that thank you peck on the cheek. Then she started imagining how things could work out.
That's why Owl House stands out (for me) their relationship is not just last minute add on like most LGBTQ in mainstream shows or just stuck on for internet points. The relationship felt genuine and natural.

Watching this video I have realized that there is a turning point in Amity's behaviour and character from "Covention". We had seen her as mean, bully and bossy, but in the moment she sees Luz making the light glyph and she brokes the everlasting oath, we can she her as a person who is under a lot of pressure (from her family, specially the suffocating Odalia) to be the best at everything she does, be the partner of the powerful and wealthy witches and show no weakness. The surprise and understanding that she shows when she saw Luz conjuring light and admiting that she's not a witch but she's training hard to be one seems that something has broken into Amity, like she had understood that she was doing things in a wring way, for her and for others. She stills has to show a bad behaviour when Boscha and the others are around, but I think that this is because she is under the influence/threat of her parents, but in "Understanding Willow" we can see why and in "Escaping expulsion" how she is able to let her inner bravery to fight for her real friends and for her own path. Obviously, Amity felt in love with Luz because Luz is the one who make this change happens, with her "kindness and forgiveness". As Emira said to Amity, she recognizes she loves Luz because she accepts her new happiness is because of Luz. And Luz felt in love with Amity not only because she saved her, but because her intuition about Amity was right: under the armour of coldness and distance, she was able to discover a person who was suffering and whose true feelings were hidden, like she was looking in a mirror the kind of person she would be forced to be in the human realm. When Amity shows her force to stand up for her friends against her own mother; to break up with her former toxic friends to support Willow and her ("Understanding Willow", "Wing it like witches") and to protect her from danger situations ("Adventures in the elements", "Enchanting grom fright" and "Escaping expulsion"), Luz admires how much Amity grew up and arises into be the best version of herself. She thinks about her that she's a "cotton candy goddess" and "smart, cool and classy", which was impossible to realise unless we saw the whole and great Amity's arch of transformation. The Lumity story from hate to love (until they declare to each other in "Knock, knock, knockin'...) takes only a few episodes, but they bring us a great story, with friendship, acceptance, kindness, understanding of the characters and their background... and finally, a great love between two young girls.
Along with Hiccstrid, Lumity has to be one of my favorite fictional relationships in anything. It is romance done right, something even the best animated shows struggle at.

Besides The Loud House/Casagrandes, something about this show and how Luz & Amity’s chemistry was written genuinely impressed me. After they became a couple, *not once* do they have petty arguments or misunderstand one another. They supported and cared for each other to the end.
A lot of people praise how healthy their relationship is and how it doesn’t have any cliche romance drama. Well actually they did have drama but that was before they started dating.😂❤

I cannot believe this exists! I never watched the show before, but then I suddenly saw a short reel featuring Luz and Amity. I thought it kind of had "Gravity Falls" vibes AND the fact that both characters are girls. So I looked into The Owl House some more and then found this video. Thank you so, so much for putting this together. Seeing the relationship from start to end was just so heartwarming. The characters were so innocent and how their relationship progressed is just so touching. My heart just couldn't take all this diabetes... but here I am, fangirling over these two like no tomorrow. I will always 100% support their love for each other. (To find that special someone is truly magical.)
When they were looking for the diary in one of the episodes, Luz really tried to back out, she really didn't want to hurt Amity, But she got forced to, when Amity saw, she tried to explain. That really shows how compassionate she is, she understands that it was pushing the seam when her siblings was attempting to expose her, even though she was mean.
I've stalled watching this because at first, it wasn't my type of story at first. Then it kept me hooked. I love Lumity's development through the episodes. I'm glad I had no regrets and watched it 💜
There were maybe 2 or more you missed; Elsewhere and Elsewhen: Amity's glove on Luz's corkboard and note to herself reminding her to get Amity a new one. Thanks to Them: Before Luz heads off to school at the end of the intro, there's a sticky note to the right saying "❤U Luz! - Amity".
I have to be honest. This is the best couple from Disney Don't take me wrong there's others good couples for example: Phineas X Isabella, Jessy X Buzz Lightyear Mr. Incredible X Elastigirl (And probably Dipper and Pacifica) But this one was the best it's feel cute, heartwarming and some way so mature. And be a lesbian couple without being so woke is perfect.

I love Lumity so much, for the whole show I was so excited to see their relationship evolve. I seriously wish this show wasn't canceled but it just had to be good, and we all know what Disney does to good shows.

I love The Owl House. And I totally enjoy every single romantic moment between Luz and Amity so much. The love relationship between these two girls is a wonderful relationship. And the girls Luz and Amity also look very pretty and very beautiful indeed. I feel very big happiness whenever I see Luz and Amity kissing each other. In my own individual perception the love relationship between two girls or two women is the most beautiful love relationship of all. This is how I really feel. This is gonna get to 200k really soon. I can’t believe this is my favorite show of all time. If you were talking to me 5 in a half months ago and said do you love disney shows. I would’ve said, “yeah when I was in elementary and middle school.” But this has reignited my passion for animated shows. After I finished it a second time, I watched Amphibia and then went to Gravity Falls. They were both great. But Owl House will always be number 1 to me. Edit: Wow 400k now. And Luz felt in love with Amity not only because she saved her, but because her intuition about Amity was right: under the armour of coldness and distance, she was able to discover a person who was suffering and whose true feelings were hidden, like she was looking in a mirror the kind of person she would be forced to be in the human realm. When Amity shows her force to stand up for her friends against her own mother; to break up with her former toxic friends to support Willow and her ("Understanding Willow", "Wing it like witches") and to protect her from danger situations ("Adventures in the elements", "Enchanting grom fright" and "Escaping expulsion"), Luz admires how much Amity grew up and arises into be the best version of herself. She thinks about her that she's a "cotton candy goddess" and "smart, cool and classy", which was impossible to realise unless we saw the whole and great Amity's arch of transformation.
The Lumity story from hate to love (until they declare to each other in "Knock, knock, knockin'...) takes only a few episodes, but they bring us a great story, with friendship, acceptance, kindness, understanding of the characters and their background... and finally, a great love between two young girls.
Ever since I started watching this show, I was a HARDCORE Lumity shipper, but I also loved the storytelling of the entire show in general!!!
Along with Hiccstrid, Lumity has to be one of my favorite fictional relationships in anything. It is romance done right, something even the best animated shows struggle at.

I cannot believe this exists! I never watched the show before, but then I suddenly saw a short reel featuring Luz and Amity. I thought it kind of had "Gravity Falls" vibes AND the fact that both characters are girls. So I looked into The Owl House some more and then found this video. Thank you so, so much for putting this together. Seeing the relationship from start to end was just so heartwarming. The characters were so innocent and how their relationship progressed is just so touching. My heart just couldn't take all this diabetes... but here I am, fangirling over these two like no tomorrow. I will always 100% support their love for each other. (To find that special someone is truly magical.)

When they were looking for the diary in one of the episodes, Luz really tried to back out, she really didn't want to hurt Amity, But she got forced to, when Amity saw, she tried to explain. That really shows how compassionate she is, she understands that it was pushing the seam when her siblings was attempting to expose her, even though she was mean.
Who noticed the error on King's tooth in S2-E21? (His tooth turned gray)
I've stalled watching this because at first, it wasn't my type of story at first. Then it kept me hooked. I love Lumity's development through the episodes. I'm glad I had no regrets and watched it 💜

And the girls Luz and Amity also look very pretty and very beautiful indeed. I feel very big happiness whenever I see Luz and Amity kissing each other. In my own individual perception the love relationship between two girls or two women is the most beautiful love relationship of all. This is how I really feel. This is gonna get to 200k really soon. I can’t believe this is my favorite show of all time. If you were talking to me 5 in a half months ago and said do you love disney shows. I would’ve said, “yeah when I was in elementary and middle school.” But this has reignited my passion for animated shows. After I finished it a second time, I watched Amphibia and then went to Gravity Falls. They were both great. But Owl House will always be number 1 to me.
